Stylish and Functional
After purchasing the Solo Transit as a gift for my brother I decided that I really wanted a Solo bag for myself. The Solo Arc is a pretty unique bag with a great sense of subtle style. The images provided by the company are true to the appearance of the actual product. This bag is black canvas with tan accent stitching. The bottom of the bag has a rubbery feeling matte black material that is pretty tough and acts as protection for the bag and the contents when placing on hard surfaces. The stitching is clean and sturdy. The zippers have angular stylized shape for pulls and are well secured and rugged. There are a pair of straps on either side that allow for expansion of the main compartment or conversely to tighten it up.There are two front pouches. One at the top that has a zippered opening that is a little bit smaller than the actual size of the pouch. It capably fits a smartphone and a pair of earbuds. I've also stored a wallet and an iPod in it at the same time. It's great for secure but quick access. The pocked is padded. On the lower portion of the front is another pocket that folds out a bit with a nylon expansion liner. This pocket has 2 pen slots, a smaller USB drive slot and another slot about the size of a deck of cards. These slots are made of a durable nylon. The pocket also has a little bit of room outside of the slots whose capacity can manage a phone charger with wall attachment, a small notepad and a full set of keys which can be attached to the inside by a braided nylon strap with a metal clasp. The outside of this pocket has padding in the form of stylized ribbing. There's a space between this pocket and the main body of the bag. It's pretty deep and wide enough to hold a composition pad or even a tablet. I found it useful while traveling for holding boarding passes and other documents I needed quick access to.The main compartment is deceptively large. Lined with heavy and well stitched padded nylon there's a pouch that runs about half the height of the bag. As an example I was able to fit 2 pair of jeans, 3 pair each of socks and underwear, 2 t-shirts, 3 button down shirts, a laptop charger and a pair of full-sized headphones in this compartment with items in each of the other compartments. There's a lack of organizational pockets in the main compartment but that is more than made up for by the large capacity. The secondary compartment closest to the back is well padded and lined with a smooth nylon that is nice and tightly sewn in to protect your laptop. It fits a 17.5 inch laptop with plenty of room to spare. Even though there is more room the laptop still sits securely because of the proper construction of the bag. There's room, but it's by no means loose. The back of the bag has an extra layer of padding that is securely stitched at the edges but the top and bottom are open. This is intended to be used to slip over the handle of rolling luggage. As someone who has balanced backpacks on top of rolling luggage only to struggle to keep it from toppling I find this a really thoughtful addition. It's made of a nylon backing and heavy nylon mesh against your back with a layer of foam padding in between. It's very breathable and keeps your back cool. The straps are made similarly. Outward they are made of what feels like a waterproofed/coated canvas and the part that sits against your body is a heavy nylon mesh with a thick padding between. Again, very breathable and comfortable over long use.The carry handle at the top is stitched and riveted. It's rubber, mesh and canvas. It feels very secure and I've lifted it several times with a full load and had no concerns of tearing.Lastly there are two mesh pockets with a stretchy nylon top, one on either side of the bag. They comfortably fit a 25oz bottle or a compact umbrella.Overall it's a very nice looking bag that is functional, secure and has a large capacity.Pros:StylePaddingDurable MaterialsLarge CapacityBreathable Mesh BackingComfortCons:Mesh Feels Like it Could SnagLack of Organizational Compartments

Perfect Personal Bag for Travel
I travel a lot and needed a personal bag that met airline requirements and held everything I needed it to - especially my 17" laptop (which is challenging to find a bag for). My laptop fits perfectly in the back section and is well padded. It has a compartment for everything I need - and even has a place to keep my travel blanket that keeps it easily accessible but out of the way - like it was made just for it. I can fit a couple books, work files, electronic accessories and even have a spot to add my travel purse before I fly so I'm down to just my carry on and personal bag for flight. The best part is the sleeve on the back that slides over the handle of my carry on suitcase. It's a nice large panel that keeps it secure to the suitcase (vs the slim strap that I've seen on other bags). Everyone that sees it is impressed with it. My mom liked it so much she bought one for herself. I've owned it for a couple years now and have taken at least 50 trips with it and it's held up beautifully. I'm tempted to buy another to have one in case it's no longer available when this one finally wears out! Highly recommend. I would absolutely buy again.

Fits Scar 18, but...
Fits my Scar 18. Looks good and well built. Top handle is thick and sturdy. However, there isn't a dedicated pocket for your power supply. Also, there is an odd exterior pouch that doesn't close that is a waste of space. They should have added a zipper there and more pockets. I plan to return.

Front pocket without zipper. What about rainy days?
This bag looks stylish but lacks in functionality. It is not worth $67. Do not buy this bag because it looks nice. I bought this bag because of the separate laptop compartment that is insulated. However, it fails because there’s a front pocket with no zipper (see images). No functionally at all. It is cleverly hidden from the marketing video about the fact that this pocket is always open. This pocket is insulated which makes for a terrible day when your caught in the rain. Water will collect in this pocket as it rains and will eventually make its way through whatever items you have in there in the large front compartment. This design flaw makes this backpack worthless. Even without this flaw this back is actually overpriced. It is not worth it any price above $40

This is a very good backpack. It is well designed and has a good amount of room.I have a problem with carrying too much gear. And I mean, TOO much gear. I had a larger backpack and it was hurting my back. This has made me be more economical in how much weight I carry and in a good way. On the weekends I used to switch to a messenger bag, but I have packed this so efficiently that I now use this on the weekends too.I still use a Solo leather messenger while hopping between meetings at work but this is my traveling bag.

Shoulder straps need to be more securely attached at the bottom
I've traveled with my backpack a lot. It's the perfect size, holds my larger laptop, plus a book, headphones and Ipad. It has a small pocket on the front that's just right for boarding passes and passports and a larger front pocket for pencils. The front flap fits perfectly over my carry on roller board handle for easy transit through the airport. It's exactly what I was looking for in a travel bag. However, I've been very disappointed with the shoulder strap attachment to the base of the bag. Both straps have become detached multiple times. I've sewn them back on as best I can through the thick layers but they don't stay on. At this point both straps are detached and the bag is basically useless as a backpack. I've transported it some by the top handle. I hate to throw it away, but I really need the straps to work

This is a great bag. It looks like it values twice the cost. Its not huge for like traveling space because its nicely padded but wince I bought it for my 9 year old son to help with all the books he has to take to school here in the Caribbean, It is perfect. Really Good buy.
