Rear Back Plate for Smith & Wesson S&W M&P 2.0 Full-Size Compact Black - Choose Your Design

UPDATE: Will have to add epoxy to make the part fit properly (which isn't the best when it comes to a gun). While testing manually, piece comes in contact with the frame when the slide moves backwards while loading ammo. Not good.Like the way it looks, but no the way it fits.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Doesn't fit in the gun as tight as the original piece (polymer + metal).When installed, it moves a little in place (like it's slightly smaller), but seems it won't come out of place, or represent a problem when firing the gun (hope so).Base plates for magazines purchased before had a tighter fit.

I have a S&W M&P 9 and a 9c with a factory cover plate that looked cheap and I wanted an upgrade. Most of the cover plates images I liked were only offered for the S&W Shield. I was looking for a laser engraved design that was essentially a symmetric image and covered most of the cover plate. I also did not want any foolish statement that could cause legal problems if I was ever in self defense situation. I am very satisfied with how this "2A" cover plate looks on both of my pistols.

I bought two of these. The fit great on the S&W M&P 9MM and the 9MM pro. No filing necessary, they just slid right in. They look great also. however...When they come, they are bright white and look great on the gun. Gun oil seems to diminish the the brightness. I don't know if solvent does this too, but I got gun oil on the logo while wiping it down. IT still functions the same. And it looks better than the stock back plate. But I really liked the bright white look it had when it arrived. The logo looks dull now.It would be nice if the manufacturer would put a warning on the item about the possibility of discoloration. instruct the user to remove when cleaning.Update 8-6-2014. There is a fix for this. I wrote to the company and they explained that the etching process leaving small pits and dirt and oils can get in and dull the look of the logo. They suggested rubbing alcohol. This worked a bit, and may have worked on just dirt. But they still looked quite dull. I did find the right technique though.I got gun oil on mine. So I tried a heavy duty degreaser. the kind that breaks down the oil. I used "OOPS", but this is the same as Goof Off and other removers for adhesives etc. It worked perfectly.Holding the plate with locking tweezers, pour some on to cover the entire piece. (Applying some to a cue tip and then wiping on, does not work). I did use the cue tip to work it in for about a half of minute, and wiped with a clean barrel swab. as it air dried, the logo came up as white as it was when i bought it!I don't believe the remover will have any adverse effects on the aluminum or the anodized coating. No discoloration took place anywhere else on the plate. I just thought you should know. This is a much better technique than rubbing alcohol if Gun Oil is involved.

Ive had the same one for my ccw Glock 19 that ive had for over 4 years. Design hasn't faded or scratched up with all that use on my glock, and Im confident it should hold up just fine on this too. Just wish they were priced a bit better but still saves you more money ordering here than on their website. Solid product and I love it.

It's exactly as described. Metal vs. the original polymer back plate. I chose the 3% design. There are many choices to pick from. High quality and worth the money!

Very nice, fits well, have yet to range. m&p 2.0cUpdate: 12/20/2018 - I shoot IDPA and EDC the firearm this plate is on, no issues still, no blemeshes, still holds it's original quality.

good fit and quality. Not 100% seamless oem but you couldn't tell without looking hard. Made out of better material for sure then the factory backplate
