Great for teaching social leadership traits
This product was used to teach a social leadership class to children aged 9-11. I love the format of the book as it provides detailed lessons and printouts.

Insightful learning with easy prep
Excellent resource for parents, teachers and guidance counselors. I can imagine incredible discussions with students using the many activities that would help them reflect on their own leadership traits and the styles of others. The activities could easily lend themselves to interdisciplinary lessons – which frame of leadership do you believe this celebrity/politician/historical figure/literary character displayed and why? This is a resource you can pick up and use in the classroom tomorrow with very little prep – even if you don’t have a background in the topic. There are so many settings in which I can see this book being used – small groups, during guidance counselor push-ins, as a whole group during social studies, during homeroom. I highly recommend it.

We finally have a book recognizing the importance of nurturing leadership skills in elementary-aged students! Through a series of brief and clearly articulated lesson plans, the authors set the groundwork for developing thoughtful leaders who will be prepared to solve problems and call others to action. Great for Older Kids
I purchased this book for my leadership group. I thought this would be a great lunch bunch book. My students are in 4th and 5th grade. I am finding they struggle with many of the concepts in this book.

Easy to Use with Great Learning Material
This is a great supplemental learning text that can be used by both parents and teachers. It helps children identify leaders in entertainment, politics and media. It also helps them think critically and creatively while congruently helping them develop their own leadership skills within themselves. The handouts are easily photocopied, done by students and graded accordingly.
