The book jumps around. He says it's not about VBA but it more or less is. Many short programs included but it needs better explanations. One valuable thing was pointers to free macros.

The Macro Cookbook isn't *meant* to be a giant collection of macros or an explanation of how to program in VBA. It's an introduction to finding, understanding, and modifying macros in Microsoft Word. If that's what you're looking for, it's very good indeed. If you're looking for something else, other books are available.

I was looking for a simple book to get my started on some developing some simple macros to automate some basic things. This was exactly what I needed. I could probably have worked the content out for myself from online resources, but the cost of my time in doing so would have been far greater than the cost of this book. It is simple and well-structured. Exactly what I needed.

I'm pretty hot on working with Excel but this book has tips and tricks I am in awe of. It is also written in a way that makes it easy to drop in and out of when you need advice in Excel.I know it's sad but Excel is your friend!!!
