Yup - nice tires
I've only had these tires for about a week now and have put about 200 miles on them, so this is only my initial impressions. But, my initial impressions of this tire are that it's frigging AWESOME. It's hard for me to get excited about tires. I've had Vittoria's before (Rubinos), Specialized, Conti 4000SII, and a few others. The first time I ever noticed a significant difference in how my wheels rolled was when I went from a 23 to a 25. That was a totally new experience of smoothness. It took a few rides to adjust to me constantly thinking I was always losing pressure.Moving from my Specialized 25s to these 25s though was a night and day difference. The Specs are great, don't get me wrong, but I had enough gashes and tears in them from glass that they just needed to be relegated to winter trainer duty only. My bike happens to be a super rigid, stiff racing bike. But I use the bike not just for racing (though I do that too), but for commutes, leisurely group rides, family rides, training, etc. So, I've gotten used to feeling like there's a tiny person behind me smacking me in the rear end constantly with the business end of a 9 iron. However, putting these tires on, that tiny person is now using a foam bat at worst. The tires are smooth, quiet, tactile, responsive, and FAST. They're also grippy as heck. My first ride within the first mile involved a technical descent at relatively fast speeds (>30MPH). Usually, I don't like to break in brand new tires on downhills like this, but these tires had NO problem holding on. In tight leans, I felt grip, grip, and more grip. Some say that these tires are more prone to flats and that may be the case, but I don't know yet. I put on a decent amount of miles on different terrains and I typically flat every other week or so. I haven't flatted yet on these and I have hit patches of glass. I'm not saying they're impervious or even any better than other tires, but for a tire that works well as a racing tire, these don't magically blow up at the mere sight of a glass bottle.Given their price and that they were almost half the price of my Spec tires, I see myself getting a couple more pairs of these things for when mine wear out or if I want to throw some slicks on my cross bike.

Great-feeling tire, but not hard-wearing
I love these tires! They feel supple, even at higher pressures. These at 100 PSI feel like Conti GP 4000s II at 85-90 PSI. I think you'd be crazy to run them at the 120PSI state on the sidewall. I got several downhill PRs on these because of confidence in the corners. However, like any more supple tire, they are more susceptible to punctures. They do pick up bits of glass in cuts in the tire, requiring frequent inspection and digging out of grit. I would not run these in the wet, because I think they'd get cut up pretty quickly.

I was hesitant to buy these. I've been using Hutchison tires for a while now and quite like them. A friend kept encouraging me to try these, suggesting they'd really improve my ride. And he was right. I don't think I'm any faster with these tires; but I'm surely not any slower. I'm definitely more comfortable. Not only is vibration and road buzz reduced, but these roll super quiet! The grip is stellar, even in the wet. Braking is greatly improved, plus; they look good!Nit picks? Well, I wish the label was on both sides like some tire brands are. I don't like the look of the label on just one side as much. And the tire is much more difficult to mount than other brands; but that comes with two crucial caveats. One? The tire won't come off if you puncture, that's HUGE. If you have a sudden and total tube failure while descending (which I have had, and with this tire), that's terrifying. Slowing to a stop safely was possible thanks to the tire staying firmly on the rim. And, while it's a pain to get it on the first time (not TOO hard with good tire levers), the carcass of the tire is such that it's very easy to pull a tube out from inside the mounted tire, and stuff a new one in in the same fashion. As I've also had the pleasure of changing a tube on the side of the road with these tires (the result of a failed tube at the seam, not a puncture or anything that got through the tire), I can say that it's actually quite easy.

Quality that is hard to match
I like the Vittoria Open Corsa Evo CxIII due to its overall durability and toughness while giving a quality ride. The wider 700x25 gives an impressive ride that is hard to get. So much so I'm getting another to match the front tire. Rolling resistance feel is reduced for me with a smoother ride resulting in more watts going forward. This is an awesome tire for a clincher that performs as well or better than a lot of sew-ups. Worth a lot to you as a rider putting in hard miles and need that quality assurance that Vittoria gives. I couldn't recommend a better tire that rides like this one...

Pricey. Worth it.
The second best tire I've ever ridden. Easy install on vintage Araya red-label rims, excellent ride and super-clean appearance. Love 'em!

Best clinchers and the smoothest too.
Best rolling tires out there. Rated high on Jan Heine's tire comparo in Bicycyle Quarterly. They have that high TPI 320. Smooth out a lot of road harshness. Will be buying again and again especially when the deals arise on Amazon. A plus. Not as puncture resistant due to the high tpi and lack of rock hard anti puncture layers. I like these tires a lot.

Disaster !
DO NOT BUY THESE IF YOU DO CITY RIDING. I bought front and rear and had 3 punctures in 1 week, one of them a piece of normal gravel that went straight through the tyre wall. These are not suitable to commuting roads so unless you are on a very smooth surface / race track forget buying them.
