Delton 24 in. Solid Wood Recliner Wedge Side End Side Table with Shelf, Sienna Brown – Leick Home, 10402

I needed a table to put a scanner on it next to my desk. My desk is irregular in that the sides are not at right angles. So a table that is wedge shaped would be the ideal. Enter the Leick Delton Triangle End Table (note the box labels it as "Delton Recliner Wedge Table"). Reviews looked good. Item looked good based on dimensions. I'd prefer desk height, but 24" was manageable.I got the table today. First thing, which is not necessarily the manufacturers fault, is that the box was pretty beat up. I'm talking ripped and smashed on one end. Took pictures, just in case and opened, hoping the padding internal was sufficient. Fortunately it was. As I opened the box, the first thing that hit me was the smell of the finish on it. Very strong. I have the table outside right now and I can still smell it inside.Next, it was pretty clear someone is asleep at the wheel when it comes to quality control. On the top, there are several bad cuts. No attempt to even sand these down. This product is made in China, so no doubt it was not on the checklist to inspect the edges or sand out if necessary. Although it's possible that it the defects are too deep to even be remedied by a sanding. One defective span is a good 7" long. Almost every edge on the top has some defect. And the beveling is inconsistent. On the bottom piece, there is a ding which is pretty obvious. Oh wait, it has a "beautiful hand-applied finish". Maybe so, but the person applying that finish doesn't care about the product. They are no doubt just trying to bang it out as fast as possible regardless of obvious defects.Pros:Yes it is pretty solid.Definitely easy to assemble. Just make sure to not tighten everything until you get all the screws in placeWell padded in the box, allowing the box to be abused during shippingCons:Very poor quality control. They clearly don't care about what they are building.You'll need to off-gas it a bit (a lot actually). The lacquer is pretty stinky. Make sure you have a window open when you're putting this together.You'll need to clean this thing off well. The static from the syfrofoam and other protective material sticks to the table and gets all over the place.I am going to keep this, mainly because it is hard to find something in the dimensions I need and it's just in my office. I'm classifying this as throw away furniture. It's just not worth the time and effort of taking it apart, getting an exchange, etc. Based on this very limited experience, I'd tend to think that Leick makes junky furniture which is made in China with little or no quality control while trying to make it seem like they are artisans.

The only major disappointment about this table is that the color is much darker than it appears in the photos--really too dark for my decor. But it wasn't worth the cost of return shipping for such a large, heavy item, so I decided to live with it. (You take a risk when you buy furniture online.) On the positive side, it arrived in perfect condition--very well packaged, with none of the blemishes that some reviewers complained about. And it was very easy to put together--just 8 bolts to screw in and you're done. You're supposed to have a second person to hold up the rather heavy drawer assembly while you bolt the assembly to the legs. There was no one around on the afternoon that I wanted to assemble it, but I made a pile of boxes, books, and magazines to hold the assembly at the exact right height while I bolted it to the legs. That worked great. Apart from the color, I'm very happy with how the table looks--I love the graceful curve of the legs and the fact that having the drawer near the bottom gives the table a "grounded" look as opposed to the top-heavy look that most other console tables have. It's slightly inconvenient to have to bend down to get something out of the drawer, but it's worth it for how pleasing the lines of the table are. One minor disappointment is that the drawer is a lot smaller on the inside than you would expect given the external dimensions of the drawer assembly. But I can manage to get the things into it that I really wanted to get into it, such as a flashlight, a tennis ball, and a few other supplies for dog walking. All things considered, I'm satisfied with the purchase.

The Leick Delton End Table is a very nice piece. We have a strange layout in our living room, and end tables are really hard to place, so a triangle is a good fit for us. This table is made from solid wood, and has a high quality stain and finish. We've had the table now for about 4 months, and it doesn't show any signs of nicks or scratches, despite having a black lab and two kids that aren't particularly gentle. If we had more space for additional tables, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another table in the same finish.I've owned a lot of assembly required furniture in the past. Typically they're made of some kind of composite material like fiber board. They usually go together easily enough, but the connectors are so poor that eventually the pieces fall apart. Basically, it makes it throw away furniture, even when discounted, these pieces aren't a good value. This table however is solid, well build, and assembled with time tested construction techniques. I have no doubt that it will stand up to many years of use, and combined with a reasonable price, these tables are a great option.

Love this wedge table we are using between chairs set at an angle. I would have liked it to be a bit wider in back, since the chairs only recline in this configuration (in this small room). But front to back, a good size for a lamp, basket and remotes. Quite pleased with the quality of the piece we received (it was in perfect shape) except for missing one washer. Fortunately we did have washers, but I would not have had other hardware, had something else been missing instead. Very much appreciated a previous review mentioning the mess from styrofoam. We opened it very carefully to minimize this issue. We are totally pleased with this beautiful piece of furniture. The shelf is not very useful however, except for stabillity.

Exactly what I was looking for, and easy to assemble. Wood seems of good quality and it arrived in good order -- no scratches or damage. Large end is big enough for a good sized lamp, narrow end suits a book and cup of coffee; and it sits just at the right height for the average chair arm. Shelf is hard to reach if between two chairs, so is best for tissues or nick-knacks in that situation.

I feel as though I got a real deal! This is an exceptionally well made piece. It's perfect!

A very nice solid wood table with a nice finish coat. It was VERY easy to assemble and all tools, hardware and instructions were included. Looks great and a great value too.
