Strong smell of electrical burning and sparks flying out
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. What sort of dangerous garbage is B&D selling?!As soon as I operated this I detected the unmistakable smell of electrical burning, seconds later sparks started flying out of thr casing as the belt rotated.

Tolle Maschine aber...
Die Maschine ist klasse und liegt gut in der Hand. Für meine Anforderung - Bearbeitung von Sperrholz - genau das richtige.Ich habe direkt auch die von Amazon vorgeschlagenen Schleifbänder bestellt. Obwohl diese die bei dem Bandschleifer angegebene Größe haben (13x415mm), passten sie nicht. Ich habe die Größe nachgemessen, die original Bänder sind 13x455mm! Eine Nachfrage bei B+D bestätigte dies, die Länge der Bänder in der Produktbezeichnung sei leider falsch und man könne natürlich für Fremdprodukte keine Haftung übernehmen. Mir wurde dann kostenlos ein Satz original Schleifbänder zugeschickt, die trotz der Bezeichnung 13x451 passen, weil sie länger sind.Den Bandschleifer würde ich wieder kaufen, möchter aber auf die falsche Bandlänge hinweisen - deshalb ein * abzug.

Beware B&D belts !!
Tool itself appears to be ok so far but only bought in February. Belts supplied poor quality, grit is ok but lap joint tears open too easily going round such a small nose wheel. Don’t buy B&D belts, try Starke blue Zirconia version sold by Amazon, German made and they have a good reinforced lap joint.

A must-have tool.
Our front doors are in oak and 200 years old. They had been neglected and on a sorry state. The flat panels were easy to get at, but not the sections in between, an inch wide. This tool is amazing. By getting into the hard to get at places, it has beautifully restored the doors. It is easy to replace the sanding belts without unscrewing anything apart. A must-have tool

Useful sander.
Purchased to replace a much loved and useful identical sander which lasted one month beyond its guarantee.Used intermittently throughout this period but when I had a sanding project, loved being able to use this.New one didn't have a uk 3 pin plug on it. It has a 2pin plug. I didn't see it mentioned in product description. On examining my old sander, discovered that the "plug" opens up and I was able to reuse it on the new sander- the 2 pin plug fits inside the 3 pin carcass....Apart from that, very happy!Can be a bit of a brute until you get used to it
