Great selfie stick!
I purchased this for a gift. I decided to make sure everything worked first! The first feature I like is the wrist strap. A wrist strap is important when holding something with a camera that costs more than a pay period's salary! I could see dropping this off the side of a cliff because that is the kinda klutz I am.The next feature is the controls are on the handle. That is so much easier than trying to fumble a remote in one hand and the stick in the other. Scowls of frustration would replace my resting grouch face! This button is easy to push. The clamp holds the camera securely. For this test, I tried a Samsung 3, a Samsung 5, and an iPhone 4. All three connected via Bluetooth, but... The g3 took three tries to connect,I kept getting an error that my code was wrong. ( auto connect, no code so I was confused.) it connected on the third try.The stick is well made, the pivot is impressive because it locks securely but also allows my phone to be in several different tilt choices. No flopping around when wiggled. No flinging the camera off into space if jostled. Good so far.The stick extends only around three feet but that seems adequate for the giftee's use. Longer might get in the way of others trying to pass by. The extensions are secure, no slamming back to shipped size even with a heavy phone wearing an otterbox. On to the cons. The directions are ridiculous. I managed to get the stick working on my own, after finding directions were not detailed not clearly written. Thankfully the stick is easy to use even with rudimentary directions.I could see that slippery hands from humid situations or nervous hands (wedding proposal?) could make the slick handle hard to grip.I have reviewed a few other cootree products that were offered to me for review, this one was paid for by me. I state that to make sure no one thinks I forgot a disclaimer. I can honestly say I purchased this selfie stick based on the experiences with other cootree products.

Monopod with Zoom!!!
Okay I'm a monopod junky, I have probably way too many, but this one stays in my bag all the time. the only thing I would change about it is an option to have clip and lock system than the twist extend pole, but that's just my preference. It pairs so easy, and now when I turn it on it has it stored in my phone and automatically pairs. The handle is so comfortable, I don't have any shake when using it with video's and I'm able to get photos up high, and really low without having arm fatigue from holding it. The pole extends from 13.78″ to 33.86″ which is a great extension without having the pole bend like others using a heavy phone with extreme long reach pole. The monopod pole extends with just lining the dots up on the pole and once extended twist to the right to tighten, the pole has a small grove down the pole and I use it to extend the pole instead of the dots that are located on each section of the pole. Its small enough to keep in my bag and has a very sleek design.I love the zoom function it works well with my Galaxy Note 3, the phone holder hold my phone with a heavy extended battery and case on it without popping out of the holder. The only thing I would change about this monopod is option to have flip or clip lock pole system and a foam or neoprene grip on handle to prevent it slipping and damaging an expensive phone. I will probably do a DIY for my handle since my phone is heavy. Love the monopod!!!

The stick is pretty sturdy (albeit a bit short) and I like the fact that I can fit my point-and-shoot camera as well as my iPhone to it. There is one problem though: the stick doesn't always turn on. In fact it didn't turn on twice in a row for no apparent reason and I missed good picture opportunities. The stick was fully charged so I wonder why. Then in 10 minutes it turned on by itself... Well, what's the point of having an item if it doesn't work when most needed? Another minor thing is that shutter button is on the far side of the handle so I sometimes hit power button instead. If there wasn't sporadic power failure it would be a decent device.

Fell apart right out of the box.
Cheaply made and overpriced. Took it out of the box and extended it. The handle came right off. I picked up one at Walmart twice the quality for half the price.

Don't waste your money on this product
Poor quality. Wont charge, can't turn it on. won't sync with my new LG V20. Instruction mention nothing about charging the stick. the little tripod that came with it is great. The selfie stick itself is very poor. Bought it probably 9 months ago, never used it until Jan 17. Never worked. POS. I wouldn't waste my time or money on this.

Shorter than spec. Great value .
Its 30 inchs long , works fine even if used with an app for newer black berries . The phone holder and mini ball head are great .The little plastic blister buttons feel cheap but work well .If press hard on the grip ,the two halves snap apart while collapsing it. Great unit for the price all the blue tooth gear works fine .

Buy this one!
This was so simple to set up and use! Made very well, I have the Iphone 6plus and it fits great with a Speck cover on it. Felt very secure with the stick extended all the way. Like the idea the port is covered and easy to unscrew when you want to charge it, plus the wrist strap. I researched several and decided to go with this for a couple dollars more, money well spent.

but I just have to imagine there are better options out there
It works, but I just have to imagine there are better options out there. Thought we'd use it more, but really never found it to be worth the hassle of carrying around and setting up.
