Parker Brothers Yahtzee Free for All

I'm not the biggest fan of regular Yahtzee, but Yahtzee Free For All is awesome! I love to play it, it's easy to learn, and you don't have to worry about keeping track of the score. No more notepads and pencils!Score is tallied at the end by a point system based on cards and tokens. You can steal points from others by beating their roll before their next turn. Table talk is encouraged!This game gives you a little challenge, a little strategy, but you can also play while having a cocktail. Great for game night with a group or just to have fun between you and your partner.We use the lid to throw our dice in.I've bought this game for others as a gift, and may have to get a new one for myself because we've used it so much!

The concept is the same: 3 roles to get as many of one die as possible or straights or a full house or 3 or 4 of a kind. But instead of keeping individual scores with pencil and paper, players compete to earn cards, each with different point values depending on the difficulty of achieving the role (Yahtzee cards are the most valuable, followed by large straight, and on down the line -- Chance cards are highly valued, too, which seems odd at first, but makes perfect sense when you play).Before playing the game myself, I assumed it was designed to be a frantic competition where everybody is rolling at the same time. It's not. And that's good. Players to take turns, but non-rolling players are still engaged as they hope their cards aren't "stolen" by another player.The game comes with 30 (yes, 30!) dice.My only complaints are the flimsy insert and, while the box design is rather ingenious, it's not terribly practical and fails to perform as designed (hard to keep the board flat!). Oh, and it doesn't come with a dice cup, but who doesn't have one of those lying around?This is a fun, fun dice rolling game for 2 - 6 players.

Let me start out by saying how much I enjoy Yahtzee! it is one of the few games my wife will sit down and play with me.We first played this game over at her brothers. I was expecting to like the game, but was not figuring I would love this game.It starts out by laying out 3 cards. These are what you are trying to obtain. There is the fullhouse, big and small straighty, and number card and so forth.The objective is to obtain the card you think no one can steal, and get a high enough number to make it difficult to take.This game is more luck yes, than skill, but it is great fun. I have found my wife still beats me in this (she has a ability to roll Yahtzee! unlike I have ever seen...)This is a great game to play with the parents too, the rules are easy, and just a great experience overall.If you are a fan of yahtzee and want to add an interesting twist, get this game! You will enjoy every moment of it.

This is a fun game - I have family members who are not necessarily huge fans of Yahtzee, but this game is much more fun for them! I highly recommend this fun game, for all ages - even for kids, helps with math skills.

The point of this game is to take turns rolling the dice like a regular Yahtzee game expect there are 3 cards on the board with Yahtzee combos (i.e. chance, 3 of a kind, full house, yahtzee) and they all have point value. To add to the excitement every player that wins a card has to keep it face up and if you roll a better combo (i.e. 3 of kind with 2,2,2,5,6(total 17); can be stolen by 4,4,4,3,5(total 20) also you place chips on the 3 cards in play if a player is unable to get a card or if they steal a card that are worth one point a piece (chips cannot be stolen). The game ends when all the chips are gone or there is 2 playable cards in the middle. It can be played with 2 people and still carry enjoyment but is actually fun when played with 4-6 people, and if nothing else it comes with 30 dice so you wont ever need to buy them again.

Rating is for who the game is intended for : casual gamers who don't have a prejudice against Yahtzee who want multiplayer interactive dice fun.Throwing aside the whole stereotype of Yahtzee and looking at it again, It brings a lot to the table for casual gaming - there's interaction, aggressive stealing, plenty of decisions (in Euro dice games they call this "risk management"), solid components, cheap price ($10), from 2-6 players, from 6-99 years, trash-talk politicking and revenge opportunities, quick gameplay time, not much downtime, and more.I've found it to be an excellent way to get non-gamers who were only familiar with the typical Monopoly, Clue, Yahtzee, and Trivial Pursuit to experience a real gateway to more solid board games. Absolutely love this game!! It’s great for all ages and is better than classic Yahtzee!! You never know who is gonna win until the end! Easy enough our 5 & 7 year old grandkids could play (with some assistance of course) and they loved it! This package shipped quickly and was just as described! Thank you we are looking forward to playing this game Christmas Eve!

I'm not sure what I think of this game yet. I bought it because someone told me it was tons of fun. However, the first time I played it was with one other person and it was okay. I think it would be more fun with more than two players.

This takes the game of Yahtzee and adds extra twists and causes a more social atmosphere in playing the game. Really fun with six people.

Love this game based on the oringinal Yahtzee premise but is faster and has a more strategic challenge aspect if you like. Very easy game for anyone new to catch on to.

My 5 & 7 year old board game junkies love this game!!! Great family game.
