Its a winner for sure.
perfect, fits the Winchester model 94/22 right on. Could not ask for better. Made from quality materials and looks great on the gun. Functions perfectly and gives you easy access to the hammer. Does not fit the big bore Winchester 94 though so be sure when ordering you want the part for the .22 cal rimfire model.

The Extension Works...
It does the job as described. I don't believe it exactly matches Winchester's original version (which is a solid cycylinder?) but is otherwise functionally similar. I used blue lock-tite to secure the allen screws in the hammer extension.

Works fine
It works fine on my Winchester 94/22 with scope mounted. A simple device from a known manufacturer which does what it was designed to do. Easy to mount and doesn't seem to scarf the hammer. Fairly priced. Recommended.

Not enough clearence.
I have a 9422 purchased in the mid 70's. That might be the problem. After installing the extension, the rear of the bolt made contact with it. There's not enough length in the hammer to get a secure mounting of the extension to insure proper bolt clearance.

READ THE ONE STAR REVIEWS BEFORE BUYING!!
This product MAY work with some later model Winchester 9422s, I don't know. What I do know is that it did not work with mine. After carefully pre-installing the hammer and cutting a notch as per the instructions, I found that there was not enough clearance for the bolt to clear the hammer. I have basically ruined the appearance of a pristine antique firearm attempting to use this product. I have an old Marlin 30-30 with a flat hammer extension that has not moved in over 40 years of use. If you try to move this one back to a position where it might clear the bolt, it is impossible to secure and stabilize. The lack of clearance on a product claiming to be designed for the 9422 is simply inexcusable. This is a market begging for an alternative. The bloated design of these Uncle Mike's units leave a lot to be desired.

Safe and Secure Fit
Mounting a quality scope on my Winchester 9422 made it difficult to cock and uncock the hammer to and from firing position as there was so little clearance between the top of the hammer and the scope tube. With a bit of filing to better clear the scope tube, and some patience, the Uncle Mike’s hammer extension fits securely and makes cocking of the firing mechanism and uncocking to safety position much more convenient and safe. Fits securely and made with a high quality feel. Highly recommended.

Wrong Suze set screws
While the extender appears solidly built, it never occurred to me to check the set screws in the extender before the final return date. As the set screws are too small, they push through and do not turn in on the threaded hole. I did not find out until I recently when i received all the components and set up the optics so am stuck with a bad purchase.
