Silk Ribbon Embroidery: A Workshop Approach for Beginners (Milner Craft Series)

I am definitely a beginner and this book is terrific. It shows many different stitches and how to make them. Ribbon embroidery apparently can be tricky, but this “workshop” approach helps beginners overcome many beginner obstacles.

If you are wanting to learn SRE or trying to improve your technique I think this book will help you. I would have liked to have had it when I first learned. A lot of what is in the book I have learned from my own experience, so learning it when first beginning is helpful. I think this book along with the A-Z of Silk Ribbon Embroidery would be an awesome start to really take off in SRE. She covers a lot of technique and if I was to teach someone I'd use this book. The illustrations aren't the best alone but the descriptions and explanations are great.

I just love doing ribbonwork embroidery, so am constantly adding to my reference library for more ideas and basically how to to the various stitches.

Great for beginners who have done a little bit of silk ribbon embroidery before. This book offers good tips for getting started on more projects.

I am not sure what I was expecting but I did feel slightly let down by the content,maybe as I am just starting silk embroidery I need clearer instructions they were not detailed enough for me maybe if you already know what you are doing this would be a great book the finished products are really nice I am just not sure if I will work out how to do them from the diagrams supplied,but as I said I am a complete beginner...
