Good value
I'm a big fan of this jacket; well constructed, adjustable and snug fit, looks good and all for an affordable price.Waterproof: I've rode several times in the rain now- nothing torrential but enough to test the waterproof ability of it and so far I've kept nice and dry.Comfort: I find this jacket really comfortable, it has adjusters at the cuffs, biceps, waist and bottom so you can get a nice tight fit everywhere. I'm 6' tall, 165lbs (long lean build) and I ordered the small and it fits perfect. I'm also able to wear 2 thermal layers and an insulated vest underneath for the cold, which can be a little bulky but not uncomfortable.Temperature ranges: The waterproof-ness is built into the jacket, meaning there is no waterproof liner to remove. In cooler conditions this is no problem, but anything above 80F will slowly cook you alive, even with all the vents open and the zipper down. Especially if you get off you bike and hike a short distance, you will be literally pouring sweat out of this thing. On the flip side I've worn this with the quilted layer, a vest and 2 thermals down into the 30F's and its kept me warm. Basically- not a summer jacket.Other features: the pockets are generous, only 1 zippered pocket on the inside. Quilted liner has a cellphone pocket which is nice. I think a good upgrade would be to add zippered pockets on the side of the lower front pockets. The vents are ok but then again I'm not entirely sure they do very much, as I think they're located on the outside of the waterproof layer.Overall: I think this is a great jacket and very affordable considering the quality you're getting. I look forward to updated versions in the future perhaps with different designs or color options.

Buy it ... Buy it now!
I will call this preliminary because I have only had it a short time and cant comment on its longevity. However ... This jacket is at very least the equal of similar ones I looked at costing $150 and more.Lets start with ... I was overwhelming impressed when I received it. It has pockets galore interior and exterior and like a truly thought out touring jacket the tops of the exterior pockets fold over before being velcro'ed shut so absolutly no rain can get in there. There is even an interior pocket labeled phone! There is a heavy zipper and then a strong hook and loop flap that goes over it. The hook and loop is the good stuff that sounds like you are tearing a phone book in half when you undue it.The jacket has a whole series of straps that help to custom fit the jacket. At the waist, across the biceps, at the wrists, at the bottom of the jacket and at the neck. What seemed like a formless jacket when I took it from the box looks like a tailored jacket after some strap adjustments and I must say .. I think the jacket is awesome looking and I look good in it. It is built to fit a variety of body types among a particular size. The fabric is the same nice tough tight fabric I saw just last week costing $200 at the cycle shop. Its tough and I think it will survive a fall just fine but what I discovered today was .... It really really really keeps the wind out.It came with elbow, shoulder and a back armor. There is also a somewhat thin liner that can zip in or take out and a whole host of vents.Today was cool for AZ at about 49 degrees with blustery wind when I went out for an 80mile ride. The ride was almost all highway at 70-75mph. I wore a simple uninsulated standard weight long sleeved tee shirt and the jacket with lining. I was very warm!! Were I still back in NYC maybe I would have gone for a sweatshirt and I think it is all I would need because the fabric and all the closures do such a good job of keeping the wind out you dont feel cold. I would have included a light scarf because I couldnt get the throat strap quite tight enough to seal completely. Outside of that it was awesome and I feel comfortable that I can ride down into the mid 40's with just that T shirt here in AZ.I swear I dont know how they can sell this jacket at that price but I would buy one before someone figures out a mistake was made!! I would right now buy another just for backup but am still losing weight and am afraid it might not fit in a year. It is really that good!!For those gauging size. I am 5'9 and 195lbs and even though I am an old guy I still have a somewhat athletically shaped body with a 45in chest and 37 inch waist and not much belly. The Xl was perfect. At my chest size I would have been uncomfortable in a large and certainly wouldn't have been able to fit a sweatshirt or vest. Like I said .. the jacket will work with different body types but you are married to the armpits and I could feel anything smaller would have been to tight.Awesome awesome jacket and greater value.

Excellent fit. Warm. Waterproff works - mostly.
[2 year Update]I own a small and an Extra Large in this jacket. I love the viability and the way it fits. The small coat needs longer velcro on the wrists. Additionally, the teeth on most all of the velcro have either come off, or pulled up the "fur" on all my pockets. On the topic of Waterproofing. When I ride for more than 15 minutes in "standard" or heavy rain [light rain has no issues], when I get off the bike, my belly is wet. I'm not sure if water is getting through the middle of the jacket or if it's running down my neckline. Bought a wet suit to wear in the rain for this reason. Otherwise, i really like this jacket. Fits good, feels good, and with a few extra layers underneath (and heated gloves), I've ridden in temperatures lower than 25F. All-in-all, this is a very good jacket for the price. There may be better products out there, but I haven't tested any others because I'm happy with what I've got.[Original Posts]I've been in the rain a few times with this coat now. Great while I'm riding, no wetness issues until I lower my arms from riding, then some droplets get in my gloves. Otherwise, my phone and wallet are safe and dry, and my work clothes underneath are dry as well. Great in the winter as well. Hot-Hot-Hot in the early spring so far. Doesn't breathe much for sweat, but that's not why I bought it. I bought it for rain and winter, and it does those well.Update: I've had this jacket for about a year now. About 8 months into the purchase, the inside warming liner began to rip at the seam that connects it to the jacket. Doesn't look repairable. I am not violent when putting this jacket on. I don't feel it should have this problem so soon. Also, I don't use the velcro pockets often, but I noticed chunks of teeth missing from all of the pads as though they've been used for years and just started disintegrating.More on the velcoro - I wish the pads around the wrists were longer as well as the ones around the waist. The jacket is a really nice fit, but sealing these closed is difficult because there's not enough to attach to.Dropped from 5 stars to 4 stars due to these issues.Still waterproof, still fits mostly good, still warm, still bright - but missing velcro teeth and an early torn liner takes away from its perfection.UPDATE: Contacted seller who offered to refund x amount for me to see a tailor to fix the liner, or x percent off of a new purchase. They couldn't replace the liner, but attempted to make amends for their product. Good Customer Service. Reset to 5 stars.

Tremendous value jacket that won't break the bank!!
I am a 5XL size man and finding any motorcycle jacket is almost impossible to find. I was so pleased to find the Hawk adventure jacket and the price was five times less than my previous Alpinestars. The thought and quality I am really impressed with and it comes with body armour although I removed the back panel as it made the jacket uncomfortable to wear.It has pockets and cooling vents and the jacket feels very robust and I am liking the high visibility colour scheme. If I could change one thing it would be to have a larger zip in the front. It's quite a narrow zip and it's working fine but a larger zip would be better. I do like how the jacket has a panel that covers the zip to keep out rain and wind. For only $83 it is a real bargain and I just wish that Hawk made a 5XL pant, oh well.

Good fit, seems to be good quality as well
Saw the pricing and almost passed on it as it seemed too low to be a good jacket- very glad I took a chance on it. Fit is very good, arms are a great length (I typically have to find a tall fit for the sleeves to not ride up), cinches help to keep things snugged as expected. Have not had hot weather to try it out just yet but works very well in cool windy conditions to keep me comfortable. Have already had a couple of friends ask where I got it and am happy to recommend it!

Great value.
Seems to be a very good jacket so far, good coverage and excellent fit. Nice and long and apparently water proof? Unbelievable price. Fast shipping and larger sizes.

Nice Jacket
Great jacket. Kept me warm when it was chilly even without the liner. A little hot on warm sunny day. But all in all great inexpensive jacket.

Great jacket quality for the price.
I purchased a medium-sized jacket, and it fits me perfectly. For reference, I am 5'6" and weigh 165 pounds. The jacket appears to be very well made. Living in Ontario, Canada, where it can get quite cold, I found the jacket kept me warm thanks to its lining. During a trip from Grey County in Ontario, I was caught in heavy rain for several hours but didn't get wet at all. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase.
