Update: I bought this in Oct 2019. It is now Sept 2022. The pump is still going strong. I think that some of the reviews that says the pump doesn't last may not be troubleshooting properly. The first motor stopped on me & the seller sent me a new one. Before I received the 2nd one, I took apart the 1st one (into 4 pieces) & got it to work again. Still using the same one from the original purchase! Ecery once in a while, I think it collects too much hair & gunk & needs to be taken apart in order for it to work again. My cat still drinks way more water than ever before & I would still recommend this fountain!My cat drinks more water with this fountain. It took her a couple of days of scoping it out, but she warmed up to it rather quickly. She likes the babbling setting the best & does not prefer to use the flower settings. The motor started to put put around and I cleaned the motor but it did not get better. I reached out to the seller and they promptly sent a replacement motor, no questions asked. I would definitely recommend this fountain if you are on the market for one.If I can't get a new motor way down the road, I would absolutely consider buying again as a replacement.

It works very well and is easy to assemble and clean. It isn’t slilent though, makes a humming noise that is noticeable if there isn’t any other noises to block it out.

My cat absolutely loves this thing. She was running a little dehydrated with a traditional water bowl, not drinking enough water (she was starting to get minor dandruff from it). I got this fountain to try to encourage her to drink more, and it absolutely did the trick.When it's properly filled and cleaned, the pump makes almost no noise. The flower and bright colors along with the matching mat make the fountain pretty attractive, and it's solid enough that my Roomba doesn't push it around. It flows very nicely, and my cat loves it––her fluid intake is way up.Thee only thing to keep in mind is that if you can hear the pump, you need to add more water, or sometimes clean it. I've had it for two months-ish, and only one time has it needed that thorough cleaning where you disassemble the fountain (very easy, no tools required) and clean all the components. My cat won't go near the thing when the pump starts making noise, and she'll pester me until I hear it and fix it.

I like that this fountain is quietish, but tinkles. I've heard others and so, from experience, this is the best bargain for a small animal. I used to unplug it at night so I wasn't awakened in the morning needing to hit the bathroom due to water running.Both of the bunnies are using this fountain. I fill it back up to the max line every two or three days. The item does make a weird sound when the water is low. The water will flow very softly almost to a drizzle if it's really low.The cord hides nicely through the pen to an outlet. I placed a long piece of cardboard in front of the fence next to the outlet. No wire chewing, so far. It does splash a little, but I clean the area often. It's cute to watch them drinking clean water from this fountain.The acrobat bunny likes to shove and spill heavy ceramic bowls filled with water. This water fountain passed the test. It's heavy enough for her and small enough for me. The green mat that protects the water splashes, they chew so I had to take that away.UPDATE: FOR 6 MONTHS STRAIGHT IT WAS A FIVE STAR PRODUCT. I bought this a while ago, but it was set up about 6 months ago. It died after that :( Last thing I need is to have to replace this constantly. If it had at least lasted two years, I would've been happy. I'll give it two stars due to its 6 months of service.

my cat and dog love the water fountain, but just be aware that you have to take it apart and clean it every two weeks because if not the filter pump gets clogged and it stops working.

Our 18 year old grandkitty wasn't drinking enough water and was very particular about where she would drink it (like in the sunroom sticking her paw in the small watering can and then licking the water off her paw). So when I saw a watering fountain on the fresh step reward program I checked Amazon. The reviews were good for the BobEastal fountain. I assembled it myself, no sooner set it on the floor and plugged it in and my kitty came over to it and drank her fill. So glad I got it for her and am ordering one for my granddaughter' s Kat. Haven't had to clean it yet but I will just follow the directions which look well explained like the assembly.

At first my kitty, Lily, was afraid of fountain. I left it plugged in, so she would get accustomed to it sitting out and operating. After several hours, she was still afraid so I held treats on top of it to get used to being near it. I had to sit with her to get her to eat them. My cat is blind in one eye, so the little flower fountain is what was making her afraid. I removed it so it was just a bubbler. She began drinking from it within a couple of hours. We keep water out for the dog, and Lily used to share that bowl. She has a choice of water, and she now chooses the fountain. I am about to purchase an additional fountain for upstairs. She loves it, so I love it!!!

The product was very easy to put together, I did it in 5 minutes. My cat, who is usually wary of machines, was very curious as I was assembling it and didn't mind the motor while it was running. We were worried he wasn't drinking enough and bought this to just try and I am very happy he took to it before I even plugged it in and began drinking. The only noise is a very natural running water sound.
