Better than range booster
If you have a device that isn't getting a strong enough WIFI signal, this is more effective than a range booster. Of course, it only works for the device it is hooked to but it could be used as the antenna for a range booster.I have this on a generator that is about 70 ft from the nearest WIFI mesh hub and it boosts the signal so that the generator can be checked without trudging through snow down a slippery slope.

Yagi WiFi seems good
I liked the gain, price, and construction. It's been up for a month in bad Pacific Northwest weather and is still performing well. I mounted it on a bathroom drain air vent pipe in minutes, pointed it at the Rosewill AP (running DD-WRT fed by StarLink) 300 feet away, and I'm getting 30-40 Mhz on my Samsung cell phone using the 5 MHz channel. I recommend it.

Great performance & value with a catch or two...
In this price range you're not likely to find a better performing antenna but if you want to get it up and running then you'll need to pay extra special attention to the details. For instance, you're going to need a high quality, low loss, high gain RP-SMA male (with female center pin) to N type male plug adapter (not included) if you plan on hooking it up to your wifi adapter or router. I personally had to order two adapters before I got the right one. I also ended up ordering a low loss extension cable so it could be placed in the optimal spot. So the price to get it set up correctly went like this $35 for the antenna, $20 for the high quality extension cable and another $20 for adapters. I could of gotten away with spending just $10 on the adapter but the first one I ordered had a male center pin on the RP-SMA sde rendering it useless for this application. So all in all, I've got just under $80 dollars into this antenna. Another thing to consider (and the main reason I'm rating this item 4 stars) is it's size, it's really quite a bulky piece of merchandise. Don't plan on traveling by air with it, likely not going to happen if you want to have a comfortable trip. Had I known all of this before I decided to buy it I would have spent more time looking at the other options that are available. Don't get me wrong though, like I said in the beginning this antenna performs extremely well & I am very pleased with the difference in my wifi's connectivity now that it's all set up and working properly.

Lives up to the claims...
After buying others new that failed in days I purchased a "used" (I.e. returned) Tupavco TP513... Unlike the others, this one has a mount that does not bend when the U-bolts are tightened, solid construction, well sealed against rain, consistent gain (a steady 15+dB rather than 7+dB dropping to negative 20dB After a few days of drizzle/light rain)... This antenna has boosted reception on my Alfa Camp Pro WiFi repeater from an occasional 73(-61dB) with frequent drop-outs to a rock solid 100(-45dB) with detectable access points jumping from 4-5 in a 360° radius to 40 some just within a 18-19° radius (in a fairly dense suburban neighborhood so presumably the total in a full 360° would be in the hundreds...)

Arrived with two cracks
Arrived with two cracks as shown in the attached photo's. It appears as though the nut was over torqued. The boom is extruded aluminum and is very thin walled allowing it to flex to the point of cracking when the nut is tightened.

good and bad
i bought 2 one is good. took rf measurements. it has more gain/power than other shorter chinese yagis.. checked tuning and swr.. ok.... the other yagi has no connection on one side of the driven element.. a simple multimeter shows this.. poor electrical contact where the elements join into the round common earth drum.. . some reviews say there is a short to earth.. it is its design. and a good sign.. many antennas are made this way, we are dealing with rf not ac dc voltage.. id urge the seller to check these as they go out the door

Very Good Yagi Antenna
Years ago I had bought Tupavco's 15dbi yagi wifi antenna which showed good results, so I recently bought their 17dbi yagi. It's about 1 and 2/3 stronger than the 15dbi one, drawing in the signals better. With the 15dbi yagi I had difficulty connecting to a nearby hotspot signal, because of obstructions such as a building in the way, but the 17dbi one strengthens the signal to the point it can easily connect to the hotspot and I get good Internet with it and decent download speeds. Connect it to a good wifi adapter (I use Alfa 1 Watt adapters) and it works very well. It picks up another hotspot signal almost 1/2 mile from me (good line of sight with this signal) at 70-100% signal strength. It's a very good antenna.

Good distance. As expected, Yagi directional antennas can take some trial and error to dial in.
Replaced one 5dBi omnidirectional antenna with the TP513. As expected from a Yagi Udi, highly directional, from a rooftop sweep, picked up a number of public hotspots and secured ones, networked printers as well, which is not my intended piggybacking purpose from quite a long long distance.I was really surprised 2.4Ghz signals can be acquired that far away, and that there are that many "in the country". Learn something every day. 11dBi.I had to re aim multiple times, and try vertical/horizontal... takes a while to dial in, even with known line of sight "point"... high gain. Surprisingly pleased, and quite satisfied. Outbuilding "office" starting to shape up...no need to remove boots either:)

Massive range increase
Solid connection at 130m (425'). Purchased a cable with a type N connector on one end and SMA on the other to match my router. A router with removable antennas makes things easier. Speed test at the router and at 130m are evenly matched. Quality is very good for the price. Mine had a very slight bend but was easy to get perfectly straight.

Product works great.
At a distance of approximately 60M from the antenna, i was getting 20Mb/Sec. Streaming Netflix, 4K effortlessly.
