Hybrid Light HL40 Solar Flashlight - High Visibility Orange

The flashlight has two power sources, a very small battery and a solar rechargeable. The battery can be solar charged by almost any kind of light. My experience has been to leave it out during the day and that charges it up. If the day is cloudy I will leave it out 2 days for a solid charge (there is a small red light that glows when it is charging). Using it you have two settings, solar or battery. I normally check the light by pressing it once for solar and then again for battery and I compare the light intensity. In use the solar charge holds for a couple of hours and if it starts to get a little dim I switch to the battery. It is a good walking light (you can see and be seen) and is used when we walk the dog at night. This is not a mag-lite but then again it is not intended to be. I own two of the lights and am satisfied that they do what they said they would do. Eventually one of them goes in my camp out bag and will be on the playa next year where its being able to be recharged by solar is a real plus. I would reccomend that you buy the batteries though as they are not your usual AA or AAA.

Worked like it said. Had to be patient for it to charge the first time. Takes a while, several hours, like it says, but working fine now.

These flashlights are great, have 2 I use around the house, and a headlamp I use when biking at night. Also have experienced great customer support with this company.
