I ABSO-FREAKIN-LUTELY LOVE THIS SERIES! I am such an idiot. I have had this book in my library for quite awhile I loved Smiley in all the other books in the series but for some reason I just didn't think his story would be all that exciting or as Hot as the others but, HOLY CRAP! Was I wrong. I think out of all the books, The Grim Sinners and the Devil Souls all the Gorgeous Smokin Hot guys I think I love Smiley's character most of all. I can just picture a silver fox built like a Greek God with badass tattoos but it's not just imagining his looks it's also the way he loves Adeline. He loves her hard with his body and soul. I think Adeline said it all when she said I don't know how my heart hasn't exploded. Lol! These two make the most amazing couple. I think maybe because of the age difference between them and the others in the MC's. I love how all the little kids flock to Adeline every time they see her and they call her Gigi. That's adorable. At times I was crying just thinking about the life the Adeline lived or should I say endured. Just imagining what she lived through gave me the chills and my heart was breaking. At times I was laughing at the little things that she would say to Smiley like frisky for his dicky. Lol! Or when she saves Brittany and says Nobody messes with my kids. I LOVED IT! When Adeline finally decides she's ready to give herself to Smiley it was WOW! I think I saw fireworks. Lol. It was so beautiful and off the charts smokin hot. For Smiley being such a Big badass hulk of a man he is so sweet and thoughtful his kindness and patience with Adeline is breathtaking. I want a man just like him. ;) I cannot wait for the next book. Travis and Bailey. I look forward to the books of the next generation of the Grim Sinners and the Devil Souls MC's but I really hope we get more of this generations. I want more of the Devil Souls MC. I love these two series so much I could just read them over and over. And I have. Lol. I EXTREMELY RECOMMEND THIS SERIES TO EVERYONE.

I was so excited to start this book! Smiley and Adeline are both characters that were introduced to is in previous books. Smiley is the father of Lane and Shalyn, as well as the retired president of the Grim Sinners MC. Adeline is the mother of Alicia, who is Techy's wife, from the Devil's Souls MC. We were given bits and pieces of Adeline's story in Alicia and Techy's book, and I knew it was bad, but I could never have imagined how bad!Adeline has got to be one of the strongest characters I've come across in a story in a very long time. The sheer horror that she lived through, the strength that she had to have to not only live through it, but to come out stronger on the other side is nothing short of amazing. And this was all before the story really started! Her absolute joy in the simplest of things brought a smile to my face. We knew from the other books that she and Smiley ended up together, but their story is so much more! Smiley has his own past, one that we really didn't get much of from the other books. But his personality really stood out, even as a peripheral character.This story filled in a lot of holes that were left from Alicia and Techy's story (not that that one felt incomplete, but this one answered questions I didn't even know I should have asked!) As with the other stories, there was plenty of action, lots of surprises, and enough heat to set a house on fire! While this book could probably be read as a stand alone, there is an ongoing connection between the other series written by this author, and they are best read in order. I'm so glad Adeline finally got her HEA, it is one that she definitely deserved!

Smiley oh Smiley..... he is the man. All bad a$$ when he needs to be and all loving when he needs to be. Smiley meets Adeline when he goes to see his daughter at the club house. As soon as he see Adeline he almost falls on his a$$ because he is so taken by her. He continues to stare at her and then says we are going on a date tomorrow and Adeline is floored because she never thought she would date let alone go on a date with the hottest man she has ever seen.Adeline is nervous about her first date with Smiley because she has a lot of baggage that comes with her and scars she wants no one to see. But one their first date Adeline knows she is in trouble because Smiley is such a gentleman to her. She is smitten with him and they decide to go on another date the next day. On there second date out the have such a great time that they spend the night together. In the morning when Smiley brings Adeline back to her apartment when she goes to unlock her door she realizes it is open and she gets scared and Smiley puts her behind him and goes to check out what happened to her apartment.Once the apartment is checked out Smiley decides that Adeline is not staying there until they find out what happened. That is when Adeline tells Smiley about her horrible past and Smiley vows to protect her from those who intend on harming her. This is where the story takes off and Smiley and Adeline will go through some things and Smiley will do anything to protect Adeline. But can he save her from her past? Or will the past come back to kill her? This story was so fast paced and so true to a bikers life I could not put the book down. I needed more when it ended because I could not get enough of these two and especially Smiley. Lord Smiley is a man I need in my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought I'd enjoy this, finally a book with the older mature biker of fifty falling for the older mature woman of forty and not a eighteen year old that this biker genre usually has. And I did like the characters and their romance at first. But unfortunately this story becomes ridiculous, like with that ridiculous Batman style military gear, with hidden bikes tucked inside their bullet proof trucks etc. That entire scene at 85% was just so unbelievable.The heroines over the top altruistic nature was too much, with complete stranger's bursting into tears telling her their life's woe's and her whisking them off to safety on a private plane! Again just too rudiculously unrealistic. As was Randall claiming he was a piece of sh*t after Smiley made him watch the videos of her was unbelievable. Then their romance becomes way too sickly sweet. There are other over the top unbelievable happenings. Like all the constant attacks on her.The writing itself is a bit mechanical and robotic, lots of actions strung together, I did this, then I did that, then I packed this and then I walked there etc. In one conversation it says, "I am locking the house down. I am on my way home right now". Instead of at least using 'I'm' sometimes. The characters laughing so hard they bend over holding their stomachs happened too much and was awful! It doesn't happen in real life.All the guys knees buckling when they see 'the girl' they want for the first time was again repetitive and cringing. Or stumbling or nearly falling on their asses because they see ' that one girl' argh! Awful. A lot of details are missing in the writing that would really have help the reader visualise the scene and characters better. The formatting had issues with the font size going really small. There's some problems with the grammar and misplaced and missing punctuation.There are times it repeats things in the space of a sentence or two. I'm not even going to go into detail about the ludicrous high security of this MC, apparently they must be richer than Iron-man with the fortified compound filled with houses on large areas of land and every house has electrified fences and gates and bullet proof shutters on widows etc and they also have an extra huge house away from the compound. They also have all that outlandish Batman style gear with hidden bikes inside the bulletproof trucks. So it was just too over the top with everything. 2 stars, only because of the characters and their age appropriate romance.

I love these books in series, and Smiley is one strong character and I couldnt wait to read his story, as I have read his childrens.I love the way he is with Adeline and the way he brings her out of herself to show the strong women she is. Smiley knows what he wants and its her. I really love this MC series you do get violence, but loyalty to each other and a HEA which is a must have to.

Oh my goodness Leann Ashers has done it again. Absolutely amazing. You meet Adeline in techy briefly. This is her story and my heart broke for her. After all shes been through she's still a loving and sweet person. Smiley- there r no words. He's an older man (I love an older man 😋) he's sexy, sweet and a complete alpha I just love him. This book is just amazing. I definitely recommend

Fantastic nothing else needs to be said loved it! Can't wait for the next part of the series. Will definitely recommend this book and author to both my friends and family without a shadow of doubt

New this book would be good but it surpassed good it is absolutely fantastic. I love smiley and Adeline they are such a wonderful couple and she deserves such happiness after the life she had. I highly recommend you read this book and this series. They are books you can happily reread over and over again without ever getting board. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
