Carhartt Men's Relaxed Fit Ripstop Cargo Work Pant

I got these after getting thorns in me constantly from clearing brush in Tennessee. There is a double layer on part of the front and now I only get the occasional scratch. The thorns here go through jeans like you are wearing shorts. These are much better, and breath better than the heavier duck material. It's the right blend of protection, but lighter for Tennessee heat.

Gave as a gift and they enjoyed them

I have a pair of these I bought a few months ago. I like them a lot - relatively heavy which is good for chilly and cold weather (and is what I wanted), tough fabric, fit is very good. I ordered a second pair which was never delivered - got a series of messages starting with "they are delayed", through offering a refund, then a message that the package "was probably lost". Unfortunately refund was not available through Amazon (from whom I ordered) and the only options offered were pants with waist sizes far too small or too large for me to wear. Amazon return policy is usually excellent, but it failed this time, and I'm out the money for that second pair of pants.

Great pair of Work Trousers, however…The two things that stoped me giving these trousers 5 stairs are:1: it’s nearly impossible to get the knee pad inverts in the UK, unless bought from a US dealer.2: I tend to find, that when I go to kneel, the bottom corner edges of duel cargo pockets, tend to end up as the point of ground contact and their hard as dried peas. It’s as if they could do with tapering the pocket shape, making them less square.

Another quality product from Carhartt, these are made from heavy quality cotton, with a Ripstop pattern on it - it's suppose to stop snags and rip from getting bigger. I have yet to test this out. These are straight in style, perfect around the waist and inside leg, lots of handy pockets, some are deep too and you can even fit knee pads to the knee pocket if you want to, triple stitch down the side. I bought these when Amazon had them on discount and they are well worth it, these are some of the best trousers I've purchased in the last couple of years
