Very useful to keep food cold or hot,

The item was shipped in the regular item box and not a shipping box. The box was open when I received it, there was 1 piece of regular scotch tape on the box and it had broken. I'm surprised that the item was not damaged.The bowl is awesome, I think it's a great product. They just need to take care when shipping.

Great product! We had gotten one awhile back. Put it in the RV and we use all the time! When we cook pancakes, we use it to keep the pancakes warm. We use for tortillas, tacos, hamburgers, etc. it works really good! Loved so much, we needed one for our home!

I bought this last week and took a tuna mac salad in it as my covered dish. (3.6qt) Looked great (Red/White) held plenty! I read where someone commented on 10 cups and I think that was pretty much spot on though I did not measure. Kept cool for 4-5 hrs until salad was gone. So I think 6 hrs would have been achieved. I filled stainless bowl part alittle less than to top with cold water and kept it in the fridge overnight. Didn't try other methods yet so can't attest to those results..as yet! Clean up was a breeze with soapy dishcloth, rinse,dry & store! I am very happy and highly recommend.

It certainly did keep the soup steaming hot even after 3 hours. The problem is there is leakage from the lid and bowl and it made a slight mess. They should supply a rubber gasket to place between the lid and the bowl to resolve this problem.Many other reviews mentions the same thing.

Solved the problem of keeping mashed potatoes warm when taking to a thanksgiving dinner party. Once arrived, we simply opened the top and served from the still warm enough container.

In the summer time we are always having potlucks and BBQs, and I always have an issue with keeping things I bring hot or cold. If I make a hot dish, it's cold by the time it's served. If I make a salad or some other cold dish, I worry about it getting too warm (especially potato salad). When I found this, I thought it might be perfect for me, and it is! I used it the other night to take a hot dish, and it sat on the counter for almost an hour and a half before we served dinner. When I took the lid off, steam actually came out!! It was easy to use, and it looks very classy! One thing to note... it is NOT dishwasher safe, but it was very easy to wash out. I bought the biggest one, but I see that there is a set of 3 with smaller sizes to match, so I think I'm going to buy that set as well! I'm really happy with this purchase!
