GARBAGE PHONE
I bought this BLU R1 HD phone as a spare/backup phone to have at home. It seemed ok at first, but after a short time, it began showing signs of not being able to hold a charge. Now, unless i leave it plugged in to the charging cable, the battery goes dead in a couple of hours without even being used at all. I'm talking about just sitting on my desk , not being used for anything, and the battery goes dead. Complete garbage quality. Also, I noticed that this phone is not showing up as being purchased by me on this page like other products I've purchased on Amazon, which says that it must have gotten so many bad reviews that the original listing was removed and then a new page created for it to trick other people into buying it. I've seen that happen with other terrible products before so it's not surprising.

Nice phone, but don't expect timely security updates or service
We have one of these. It's been a nice little phone, but they stopped pushing out regular updates over a year ago, and their only response to requests for updates is "we're working on it." Thinking of flashing a different ROM? Don't bother - the bootloader is locked by BLU. There is no Android development for this phone. Consider it a dead-end.
