Gift Mark Deluxe Children’s Spindle Rocking Chair, White

We are blessed with wonderful great-grand-children. Our gift to them is a tradition of GIFTMARK CHILDRENS’ WOODEN ROCKER. This is a gorgeous little piece of furniture! I was a bit hesitant, given some of the negative reviews, but luckily it came intact, everything fit together well, and the finish is even and beautiful throughout the piece. Assembly was very easy. The chair looks sturdy and well-made. I love the antique look and all the detail! The cherry finish is rich and stunning. All the surfaces are polished very well and everything feels really smooth. I'm in love with this chair!!!We have the similar KidKraft spindle chair that we got for our first child, and wanted to get a matching second chair for our second child, but that one seems to have been discontinued. The Gift Mark Deluxe is the same size as the KidKraft, but is much better done, assembly was easier, the pieces fit together better, and it's a much more beautifully made chair overall. They both aim for the same visual style, but the execution on the Gift Mark is just better (little design decisions that make a difference for the aesthetically inclined parent, but won't matter to the kid). We got the first kid's chair when she was 2, and she was able to get on and off of it comfortably by herself, with room to grow into it as she gets older. It's definitely bigger than your typical little kid rocker. I like that. Our second baby started trying to climb his big sister's chair as soon as he could climb stuff, and by age one was able to scramble up onto it and sit himself down. Now he's a year and a half old and is a pro at getting on and off the chair by himself. They're constantly fighting over it now, so baby brother will be getting his own for Christmas. Given that experience, I would recommend you skip over the smaller models and go right for this bigger one. Kids can figure out how to get on and off quite young, so you'll get a lot more use out of the bigger one.While I would hesitate to recommend the KidKraft (mostly because assembly was a nightmare due to incorrectly drilled holes), I would without a doubt recommend the Gift Mark Deluxe to anybody looking for a quality, gorgeous rocker for their kid!

We bought one for each of our three daughters. It was so simple to put together, it's a sturdy hardwood, and beautiful! The rungs in the sitting area aren't too far apart (no heads getting into them). The corners are all smooth (no owies). And the seat isn't so far off the floor that it's too hard to sit in; and big enough to have grow room. My 2 year old started rocking in it right away. My 4 year old and 6 year old really enjoy it as well; but they'll have to wait till their birthdays to get theirs. I was extremely pleased with the quality, price, and beauty. I really think this rocking chair might last to be used by my grandchildren.

Chair assembly was easy. Illustrations were easy to understand. All of the fastener holes line up perfectly. Screws went in tight with no cracking sound. Solid wood all around. Finish is perfect and looks great. Has not been used yet since it is a gift but feels sturdy. All the screws will be checked after it is used for a few weeks to adjust for temperature changes and the wood expanding or shrinking due to it being solid wood. Overall a great value.

We bought this for our grandaughter's 1st birthday - it is a very nice rocking chair for children as far as the way it was built. Received it really quickly, which I was very happy about. Got the cherry and it looks so cute in her bedroom with her other cherry furniture. That is - it looked cute after WE finished with it. Wood was chipped and scratched. The absolute WORST job of staining I've ever seen. There were HEAVY spots of stain and spots with NO stain. We only had 5 days until her birthday so no time to send it back. My husband & I spent 2 days sanding & restaining this chair. What a pain but it turned out really, really good. Chair is well built and perfect size but the person who stained it needs to find another job. I made a pink ruffled seat cushion and my husband stenciled her name on the back - everyone at her party was "wowed" by it but it was a LOT of work for us.

We love this chair; however, we were sent 2 left arms. We thought we would just flip it over and put the wooden spindles on the other side, but they’re already built into the arm. It’s not bad looking, and my 3 year old might not notice...but, because of the 2 same arms, it doesn’t look the way it is supposed to.

The grands love this rocker and it is well made.

I will admit I was nervous to order the chair with a cherry finish after reading some of the reviews about how bad it looked. But I took a chance and was glad I did. The cherry finished looked great with no issues!!! Very happy about that. Overall the chair was fairly easy to assemble, the hardest part being the arm rests. Very happy with this chair.
