Luyben FBA_2215LCBK Clarinet Ligature

I've tried others but always return to a Luyben. My first one has served me for nearly 50 years. I only bought this one because I now have an A as well as a Bb soprano. I like that one is white and the other black. Makes it easier to tell them apart during quick instrument changes.

My daughter LOVES this! Her metal ligature needed to be replaced (after many, many years of use by me long ago) and her band instructor recommended a leather ligature. I came across this option and decided to give it a try, it seemed like the best of both worlds and she is very pleased with it.

Great ligature for me! Rather durable, no worries of breaking it or of it warping. Personally this really helped with ease and clarity of my articulation though YMMV. Fits well with reeds with thinner stocks like Mitchell Luries as well as thicker stocks like Vandoren V21s.

This ligature is excellent in quality and easy to adjust. It allows for easy vibration without sacrificing tone quality. I am clarinet music education major and have been using this for 4 months, and not planning on switching anytime soon. I was a bit skeptical at first because of the low price and the material, but it is excellent and is a great buy- low price too!

Arrived promptly and performs just as well as its predecessor. These allow the reed to vibrate with more freedom than metal ligatures and with more security than soft ligatures. I rate them as a very superior product at a bargain price.

It's inexpensive and lasts 3 to 6 months before the screws start stripping out. Buy several of these, or buy a higher quality one; our band director likes the Rovner Dark so I bought that one after my second Luyben.

Do not buy this!!! For $8 more you can buy a decent Rovner. Mine started to get bent a week after using it and it has already stripped out. I would recommend buying a metal one over this. My band director said he would not recommend these to high schoolers. Maybe for middle school band, but I would definitely upgrade to a better one than buy this.

A great Ligature for the price. Just make sure it is tight on the clarinet mouthpiece.
