some don't have instructions so we made copies.

When good products go bad
I remember when this product first launched, people were spending $80 for them at dog shows. I received my first one as a gift and it included the indoor shower adapter kit along with the sprayer. And it was GREAT the first 6 times we used it but then it just stopped working. We contacted customer service to purchase a new sprayer (the warranty had already expired) but they offered to send us a free replacement instead. I was impressed. I shouldn't have been. What they sent us was just a sprayer, not the same shampoo sprayer that I had, just a plain old sprayer. I decided to purchase this item as a replacement for my shampoo sprayer since, when it worked, it was the most amazing product I'd ever used. When the sprayer arrived it looked almost the same as the original, but looks can be deceiving. The door that opens for the shampoo cartridge sticks a little making it harder to open than the original. Once I had the shampoo cartridge in place, I started to bathe my dog and was surprised when the brand new cartridge ran out before I was done. With the original model, I could bathe all three dogs with one cartridge. For some reason they changed the soap, water, oxygen ratio so that you use more shampoo. Whether this was an attempt to remedy the problems with the original or just a way to make us buy more cartridges is any ones guess. And it's not just that, the new sprayer doesn't feel as sturdy or well-made as the original either. There is also NO warranty on the new model (the original had a one year warranty). None, zip, nada. I scoured the enclosed paper work and the exterior of the box and all I could find was a statement directing the consumer to return the product to the store where purchased if not satisfied. Okay, that covers you if you open the box up and it's broken or doesn't work as advertised but what about after you've used it for 3 months and it all of a sudden stops working?I'm not fond of companies who shift their warranty burden onto the retailer or the consumer. This tells me that the issue that caused my original one to fail after only 6 uses probably still exists but instead of redesigning the product to fix it they just eliminated the warranty. Shame on them!

Don't waste your money
Unless you have a VERY short coated dog, don't waste your money. The amount of shampoo (you can only use their pricey refills) that is dispensed is very diluted, and it took me at least 15 minutes of constant spraying to get my dog wetted down, and she certainly wasn't clean. The closure is flimsy where you open it up to insert the plastic bag of shampoo, and the flow is weak. The rinse option has low and high settings, but I couldn't tell any difference. In fact, it was hard to tell the difference between the "wash" and "rinse" options because so little shampoo is dispensed. Also I found the size and shape of the unit very bulky. Lastly it was almost impossible to install without it leaking all over the place, and the diverter you screw onto your shower head pipe ended up with the hose attachment pointed up toward the ceiling. No matter what I did I could not start the threads in a way to make the hose attachment face downwards or at least to the side. So it looked really stupid once installed. Not a classy addition to anyone's shower.

Repeat Purchase for me!
I purchased this to replace one that I purchased about 5 years ago. After bathing 2 of my own dogs and one for my parents for 5 years, it finally died. I noticed one buyer mentioned they were unaware that inside connections were not included. Actually, I didn't pay attention to that either. My original one did come with hardware for inside bathing but the price was also more than double. This really didn't matter to me since I did not use it inside during the winter months. The hook-ups were too much trouble and with a walk-in shower and a removable sprayer, we found that much easier. During the late spring to late fall months when the weather and outside water is warm enough to use, I think it's great to hook up to the hose and use. It's quick and definitely not as messy (for me) bathing my dogs. The shampoo cartridges actually wash more dog than you might think. I can usually get all three dogs washed from one cartridge and I'm bathing 2 large dogs 75-90 pounds, one with long hair, and a smaller 30 pound dog. So, you can see the cartridges actually go a long way.

I love this product
I love this product. Washing both of my dogs was quick and easy. You can refill shampoo cartridges. I use a blunt tipped syringe for that purpose. The fittings are perfect for attaching to a garden hose. If you want to attach it to a shower fixture you will need a 3/4in x 1/2 in bushing and a 1/2 in x 1/2 in pipe nipple from the hardware store. The on off switch works perfectly without leaking. It's fairly quiet and while my dogs still don't like baths, they like this better than a standard baths.

Easy to use
I've had this item for a few years to give an honest review. I had no problems with it leaking or the adapter for indoor showers. One thing to remember is that you have to use this with a shower or outdoors faucet. If you use a kitchen faucet or sink, you won't have enough water pressure to produce sudsing or to wash away debris & the dog won't be clean enough. I would have given 5 stars but the price of the refills can be pricey.I see there is a newer version that you can refill with any shampoo. I think that would be a positive move in the right direction. I have a standard & a toy poodle. I'm satisfied with this product & have no complaints besides the price of the refills. I did manage to refill the cartridges & it worked. I plan on purchasing the newer version which allows you to refill with any shampoo.I never have & never will, be able to wash my standard in 3 minutes with this product but it is a good product. I suppose it depends on the coat of the dog. Silky thinner coat dogs can be washed much faster than dense coat dogs such as poodles. My suggestion: try the newer version to save money purchasing shampoo. Make sure to read thoroughly what is included in the kit you purchase. Mine came with shower adapter that the shower head attached to so you don't have to remove it to use the shower. If it does not come with one you can purchase one at a hardware/ home improvement store.
