Elvis Presley for Ukulele

I got the book today and its fantastic. The size of the notes are perfect and easy to read. The book itself is great quality. The only complaint that I have (understand I'm a noob at uke playing only 3 weeks) is that I can't read music since I have no background at all in any instrument, so I need TABS. Usually they have tabs on easy level books so us noobs can still play the music in only a few minutes time. I will write the tabs below the notes...there is space there, but it would be nice is Jim Beloff tries to help us noobs out. The other book I bought "Easy Classical Ukulele Solos," has tabs and I already played one of the songs...got that book today in the mail too. I played "In the hall of the mountain king." Just saying...tabs helps.

A must for any Elvis fan - easy to read and follow even for a novice

I’m very happy with this book. It has a nice selection of songs and they are written in an easy format for the ukulele. The booklet lays open easily.

This songbook, like many others, puts the song on 3-5 pages, making it difficult to play.

Good selection from the king. Fine display of music and words on my iPad.

Like the little diagrams with the dots, don't have to memorize cords by name, especially new ones.

It's always fun to play songs I'm familiar with. Chord grids are in throughout the collection and so it makes the songs easier to play since I'm a beginner.

Don not buy this unless you've been playing for a while; it is kinda difficult to learn without lessons. (T.T)

PARA FANS DE ELVIS PRESLEY...

My wife is an Elvis fan and I recently bought her a ukulele, so this book seemed a good match. So seeing the cover I expected songs from his Hawaiian period but unfortunately only 1 of the 20 (Blue Hawaii) was included. This was a big disappointment as I already had all the other songs in guitar format and had bought a ukulele chord book so I didn't really need this one. So only buy if you you are not in this situation.

Purchased to add to a ukelele starter kit as a Christmas gift for 69 year old guitar player. Recipient was thrilled with both.

This is a fair, but not great selection of Elvis tunes, and the list isn't very long. The arrangements are middling, too. Some work well, others are questionable.If you're a uke player and fan of Elvis and music of the 1950s-early 60s, then get it. But take a look online to see what others have done with the songs to see if there are somewhat better arrangements you can adapt with the help of this book.
