Schecter Damien Platinum 7 Satin Black Left-Handed

This is my first 7th String and I'm glad it is. I ordered this from GearNuts and it was in tune when it came in. When I ordered this December 14, 2017 it said it was going to come Dec. 27th but it came on the 18th and I was not expecting that at all. Great sounding guitar, love the EMG's, but it came with a tiny scratch on the body. It's so small that you can't notice it but it's fine. There's no frets hanging off the fretboard. Lastly I had to change the strings from the stock strings Ernie Ball .010 - .056 to an D'Addario .011 - .064 to give a little more punch but don't get me wrong the stock strings are great.(EDIT 3/10/18) - I've been playing this guitar for 4 months already and I switched the strings again from the D'Addario .011 - .064 to .010 - .059 D'Addario Strings and I'm sticking to it. I didn't say this before but the guitar is surprisingly light. I would of thought it's heavier cause of the extra string but I was wrong. So far I don't ave any technical problems with the guitar.)(EDIT 4/30/20) - Like I said before, this was my first 7 string. I've learned a lot from having this guitar and now it's my messing around guitar. I've found that I'm not a fan of EMG Pickups. I'm mostly comfortable with playing on a guitar that has X-Jumbo frets, this guitar has just Jumbo. Having guitars with that type of bridge setup where the strings on the end is floating is bad for me. I've realized that there is a lot of ringing in the background and to stop it you need to put some Gaffer's Tape to stop the ringing. About to buy another 7 string the KM III Standard Stealth Grey making it my 3rd.

I ordered this guitar on deployment. USPS Tracking is never reliable, and it still says that it's in Arizona; but I got it today, and I am more than pleased with it. If you're looking for that deep death metal tone, this guitar is for you. The EMGs pick up every pinch harmonic, Selector switch is firm and not wobbly, the scale is just wicked, the bat inlays are a pretty phenomenal touch to the fretboard. The bridge pickup has great response with thrashing and fast solos, and the neck pickup has a very clean and smooth sound.. which is great for clean intros. Everything from the body to the hardware is precise. This is a very solid built guitar, and a piece of art. My only recommendation to Amazon is to provide a picture of the back of the guitar to show that it is a SOLID body.. Yes, this is one piece, and it resonates beautifully. Aint nobody got time for a bolt on neck when you can have this solid piece of metal making machinery. I can't wait to get back home and play some shows with this baby.

I have given this a rating of 2 due not to the guitar itself, which is a very nice looking and sounding guitar but due to the condition it came in... it has obviously been played by somebody and that person has left scratch marks where a wrist band or whatever has marked the finish of the guitar... needless to so, if i or anyone had bought this from a shop, this would have been completely unacceptable, I spent a good deal of money on this guitar and i expected better from schecter, in there ability to deliver a brand new guitar in an acceptable condition...i got the guitar shipped from the states to the uk for a good deal of money and returning it will cost more,but even if i did return it am i guaranteed to get a guitar back in a acceptable condition, it would seem the answer is no...poor

The guitar is beautiful and gorgeous. EMG pick ups are really something. The neck feels perfect and smooth. I would put 6 stars for sure

This is my first 7 string, 2nd Schecter and I absolutely love it! Great sound from the EMG's, very easy to play and man what a tone!

Not giving a 1-star review based on the guitar itself here.I ordered this earlier today, what is advertised is a right handed guitar however when I ordered it it came up in my Amazon orders as a left handed guitar. Thankfully I caught it before it shipped. Just saying to anyone buying make sure you check your orders on your Amazon account and make sure you're getting the right guitar.
