Q: Is this like herd your horses game but more advanced?

Not really, instead of a lot of randomness in the collecting horses part, it's a lot of horse trading... buying, selling, swapping horses and land to help you win where the randomness is, the competitions... which let you buy more horses and land. I'd say it's a lot more strategic than random and skill and experience with the game will matter.

Q: Im looking for fantasy stables i think made by same makers? i believe it’s better for kids. anyone know?

We got Fantasy Ranch which includes directions for easier versions of play with the same game materials. We have played the Trail Ride version included many times with our 6 and 8 year olds and they love it!
