Great value product for adding more hard drives to Unraid server
Easy plug and play SATA expansion card I've added to my Unraid server to drop in more hard drives as the motherboard only had 4x SATA ports. Unraid immediately recognised the new drive attached to it and is currently building parity, highest speeds I've observed on the Dashboard so far, for both receive and transmit, are ~1400MB/s.Bright LEDs show it's working, and I've zip tied a Noctua NF-A4x20 PWM to the heatsink to keep it cool while reading/writing data to server, probably not necessary and overkill but better safe than sorry! Really pleased with product and will update with speeds once I've added more drives.

Just Works to give two extra dedicated SATA ports
I needed a couple of extra SATA ports on a new NetBSD ZFS server, after getting a disappointing 6 SATA port pcie card from another supplier which turned out to have a ASM1062 with a JMicron JMB575 port multiplier.Things to like about the BEYIMEI 2 Ports PCIE SATA Card:- Its correctly described on the site, and You Get Exactly What You Bought- It Just Works, no driver faffing- It gives two dedicated ports on its ASM1061- Pretty blinken-lights (until you assemble the case and hide them)- Excellent valueI liked it so much, I now have two :)For reference attach message from NetBSD below.ahcisata1 at pci3 dev 0 function 0: ASMedia ASM1061 AHCI SATA III Controller (rev. 0x02)ahcisata1: 64-bit DMAahcisata1: AHCI revision 1.20, 2 ports, 32 slots, CAP 0xeb32ffa1<SXS,CCCS,PSC,SSC,PMD,SPM,ISS=0x3=Gen3,SCLO,SAL,SSS,SSNTF,SNCQ,S64A>ahcisata1: interrupting at msi6 vec 0atabus4 at ahcisata1 channel 0atabus5 at ahcisata1 channel 1ahcisata1 port 0: device present, speed: 6.0Gb/sahcisata1 port 1: device present, speed: 6.0Gb/swd4 at atabus4 drive 0wd4(ahcisata1:0:0): using PIO mode 4, DMA mode 2, Ultra-DMA mode 6 (Ultra/133) (using DMA), NCQ (31 tags)wd5 at atabus5 drive 0wd5(ahcisata1:1:0): using PIO mode 4, DMA mode 2, Ultra-DMA mode 6 (Ultra/133) (using DMA), NCQ (31 tags) w/PRIO

Works withouts any issues
This is a great item and was easy to get up and running. My only gripe is the drivers on a cd. Why?We are at a time where cd & dvd's are pretty much unused in the computer world now. My custom build doesn`t have an optical drive and many users don`t have or use them nowadays. I had to unearth my old cd/dvd drive and link it back up to my pc before I could install the drivers. It would be so much easier if they uploaded the drivers and provided a web address to download the drivers. After all the cd supplied has all the drivers for the hardware they sell, which amounts to no more than168mb.Plus its less plastic which really isn`t necessary.

Works perfectly.
Bought it to use on a Hp elitedesk 800 g5 sff running Truenas VM on Proxmox and it works perfectly with 6 ssd with space for 2 more. The price is excellent for the included satay cables and sata power, the low profile bracket was useful in this case.

No drivers required with Windows 10, and getting full SSD read-write speeds
I bought this to extend the capacity of my motherboard (which has 6 on-board SATA connectors), to add an SSD and 2xHDDs. Installed into a PCIe 2.0 slot (as the only one spare). Didn't need any drivers with Windows 10 - plug and play.Tested with a Samsung 870 QVO 1TB SSD. I'm getting the same speeds as connected directly to the motherboard, and those as rated by Samsung (read 560MB/s write 530MB/s).

Worked fine for a while, then started causing loads of IO errors.
This is cheap and worked fine for a while, however it then started to cause a massive amount of IO errors which looked like a failing disk at first. Only through lots of investigation did I narrow it down. Fine for a short term stop gap measure, wouldn't use it for anything critical or extended durations. You would be much better off getting a second hand SAS HBA like a Dell PERC H310 & a SAS to SATA cable.

Corrupted data
After a year of usage I had had a few crashes and system hangs that I hadn't particularly attributed to this card. Recently I lost a drive as the formatting seemed to corrupt.I traced the issue back and found the port the drive was previously plugged in to was dead on the card and no other devices could read through it either. On further investigation it turned out 2 of 4 ports were now dead and I was down a drives worth of data.Steer clear!

PCI-e to SATA controller card.
Received this reasonably priced card the next day after ordering it. Needed to fit an already formatted SATA hard drive, but ran out of ports on my motherboard. This small card fitted into a free PCI-e x1 slot on my motherboard very easily. Attached a standard SATA data cable from the card to the hard drive, then powered up my PC. As soon as Windows finished loading, looking on my PC menu the added hard drive was listed. I'm no professional, but I did find it extremely easy to install. It's a cost effective way to add a hard drive, or drives, to a PC.

Surprisingly fast
Surprisingly, a fast disc connected to this expansion card was still faster than older and slower discs connected to my old motherboard. This card only has a PCI-E x1 interface. Perhaps it would be faster if it had a PCI-E x3 interface. I don't know but I was happy with the speed anyway. I connect 5 discs to this 8 port card and it is fine. My thinking was that perhaps if the card could support 8 discs, it should be faster than a card which was at its maximum capacity with only 5 discs. It also has an ice-blue led when the discs are accessed. I'm very happy with it. It worked straight out of the box with Linux Open Suse and no drivers required.

6 port SATA expansion card
Fast delivery. Card works well and is fast. No drivers needed in Windows 10 or 11. Would buy again from seller.

Does not work after Windows 10 Reboot, need to do a shutdown
UPDATEI HAD THE CARD INSTALLED IN AN ASUS Z170-P motherboard. There is a bug in that motherboard - PCIe cards are only detected properly in slot #4. When I moved the card to slot #4 the problem went away.*******I have 8 drives connected to this card and it works good. However, if I reboot my PC the drives do not come back online. I need to do a shutdown and then power back on to get the drives back. I reached out to the vendor and they sent me a couple of updates but they did not work. I am currently waiting for their reply to my email that I sent on Feb. 18th.
