False Product Description
Under the products description, it states "New ratcheting lock system allows easy phone use without line tension. A simple tug on the device releases the lock and retracts the line." Yeah.... I don't know about that. The one I received doesn't do this at all. And weirdly enough, the packaging doesn't mention this feature at all... So, If you're looking to purchase this item for it's "locking" option, look elsewhere.

Does what it is supposed to.
Peace of mind knowing the phone is securely attached. The device has worked very well for me after two weeks of use. It required a very slight modification to my otterbox case to do what the holster doesn't, hold onto my phone securely. Only things that could be improved is smaller would be better and a more discrete teether would be better too.

The seller sends a non- locking model despite the description!
I own some of these ratcheting gearkeepers and they work great - but the two i received from buying from this listing don't have this retracting lock mechanism - very annoying and disappointing- and a down right slimy it seems to me - Amazon should ban this seller. Go to Gearkeeper.com and order the locking ratchet models directly from the manufacturer.
