Lovely set of watercolors. Bought for my daughter who is a high school student to try. She has used W&N professional, DS, Schmincke, Mei Ling and the cheapo set from Aldi. She is not a brand snob, just likes reliable colors to finish her artworks. She rates these as "the good set". So they are Pretty good. And Pretty decent price too. So both mum and daughter are happy.

Im so in love with these paints, its my first professional set and its so nice. I mainly brought these because i liked the colors and the pans were moist. I put mine into a metal palette and these paints are just so charming and nice, they make me happy. It took a really long time to make that pretty swatch card but i loved making it. But in all honesty this is probably the best professional set that you can get for your money and they're really nice and the colors are so gorgeous they look like gems!

This is a good solid set of affordable water color paints. I prefer schmincke, daniel smith, and qor, but these are full pans at a great price, with vivid colors. Definitely better than most student grade paints, and the two colors i found to be fugitive, violet and scarlet, i simply removed so i wouldn’t worry about using them. Individual pans are available as well. These have a good reputation and are nice to paint with.

I have been using this brand for 43 years since I was a middle school student and I absolutely love these watercolor paints. Despite the fact that Amazon delivery screwed 2 (TWO!!!) previous deliveries in a row (one was set of Leningdad, another one was White Nights -- none of those were delivered to me) this delivery was nice. Package was smashed as you can see from the picture and paints were scattered around the box, but I don't need that box anyway. I put paints in my own tin box and very happy about this.If you are not scared about possible hiccups with delivery, I highly recommend these paints. They are pretty good pigmented and not sure about now, but this brand used to be a pro grade, so you won't regret a purchase.

The first time I bought a 48 full pan set from this brand, after that I order this set for color replacements. I must tell you that the quality of this watercolors is outstanding.Yust one drop of water and you will get an intense color very rich on pigments.You also have that creamy feeling that gives you the honey and the arabic gum.I will highly recomend this watercolors, and I have try lots of good quality brands.

If you want to buy good quality watercolors without having to pay 100+ dollars, I'd recommend these! These are amazing watercolors, especially for beginners! They are incredibly opaque and layer amazingly! If you can, you should also buy they're 36 sets, although it is a bit more costly than these! It doesn't come with a palette, but you can buy one for pretty cheap, I just reused my older one.

Instead of Leningrad I got much cheaper looking set Ladoga. I ordered student set Sonet for almost half of this price from a different seller and this set looks exactly the same. Leningrad was professional set.Update - I checked Nevskaya Palitra website and it looks like Ladoga is a new name for old Leningrad. This is professional set, cheap that White Nights one, but good enough. I am keeping it, because colors are slightly different with Sonet. And changing this review from one star to four. Would be five if seller update pictures for current ones.

Professional grade watercolors, highly pigmented, smooth application. This pan set comes in a cardboard box but the full size pans have a plastic bottom. I bought a metal tin to put them in and it works great. Enjoying the lay down of these paints, the red is truly a red and not a washed out pink...
