bareMinerals Blemish Therapy

I have very pale/fair skin - this is very light, and perfect for blending over concealer to match my foundation (If it helps, I normally use Covergirl Ivory/505 foundation or other fair, cool color foundation). I don't think this would work as well for someone without very fair skin. Adult Acnomel is good for a medium skintone, and contains sulfur as well. I have been buying the bareMinerals Blemish Therapy for about 5 years now, and it gets harder to find every time. I do not use any other mineral/powder style makeup.Pro: Fair/light color hard to find in many concealers. Offers opaque coverage in small areas.Con: Fair/light color may not match most skin. Slight odor when first applied.Neutral: Sulfur works better for me than other acne spot treatments, but I have not seen much difference when I use this or not. I only notice that it is a good concealer.

I've only been using it a few times a week for a few weeks now but I am noticing that my acne is starting to go away. I put this on after my acne cream and moisturizer and before any other makeup. Helps to keep the blemish covered up and helps prevent the rest of my makeup from affecting the blemish. But I do recommend washing your face as soon as you can (like when you're okay with being makeup free) so that you can wash your face and treat it. Wearing makeup with acne is tough so when I'm having a breakout I only wear makeup if I'm going out and take it off as soon as I get home.

The product is great. While my youngest niece was home on spring break, I took her shopping and we went specifically for Bare Minerals. I told her in her pre-teen years that if I caught her wearing "junk on her face" she was going to be in HUGE trouble because women had gone through fad after fad to find makeup that was good for your skin as well as enhancing your face. She was wearing a Bare Minerals foundation (heaven only knows where that came from) but nothing else.Immediately, I picked up 2 Blemish Therapies (one for each of us) then we went to get her color tested, to get the correct shade, well the lady didn't know my niece and picked a shade you could see, the whole point is for it to NOT be seen, so I picked the one I thought was correct and let Bugs pick, she picked mine. They did not have a starter kit in her color. So she wound up with foundation, BLEMISH THERAPY, lip liner (she still doesn't see the point) and lip gloss.) I went to Bare mineral site to order matte veil, oil control primer and blush.She needed brushes' but I'm not rich, I spoil her. So I came to Amazon for brushes, found the makeup was a little less expensive and because I had wanted to send her suite mates something as well, but at Bare Minerals site they didn't have a gift package or collection that would divide between 3 girls, not mention TOO expensive. So, I needed to send brushes and I thought Blemish Therapy, every woman needs it and especially at their age, so I ordered 3. I was told they loved them and got them very quickly, well before the last date. So, the 4 muskateers are at least zit free!!!

This product works ok, I wouldn't call it a miracle product though. It's strong points far outweigh any negatives. It's smooth and creamy, blends seamlessly under or above make up, powder that is. It's mildly effective without over drying skin. For it to work effectively it needs to be applied several times a day. It does seem to prevent oil production where applied. All in all I'm satisfied and will continue to use and buy it for spot treatment. It has no foul smell, I only wish it were sold in a larger quantity.

I've been using this product from Bare Escentuals for many years. It's my go-to skin repair treatment, for the occasional blemish — and it works its magic quickly and beautifully. I tend to apply it to any affected areas with clean fingers, washing my hands between applications, rather than continually reinfecting the brush with any bacteria that might be dragged across the pores (the brush can be washed, but it's a pain to do that during each application). As the Blemish Therapy's basic mineral compound is sulphur — which, by nature, is dehydrating — I'd advise those with dry skin to try a different product. My skin is generally oily, so this is a good choice, for me. My eldest daughter's complexion, however, is drier than normal, and this product tends to only increase fine lines, rather than heal her face. My second daughter has normal with a mixed t-zone complexion, and this is great for her (she "suffers" from fast food ingestion and sleepless college life). On the rare occasion, I've applied this to my 11-year-old daughter's hormonal face, and found it safe and effective. I recommend this highly.

Before finding this product I was always wary of reviews on skin care products. I've tried them all and none have worked despite the reviews. I don't have great skin and never have. In my 30s now and still get acne on my face and more distressingly I started to have rosacea a couple years ago. My wife had been using bare minerals for years to spot treat blemishes but I thought it had to be placebo until I tried it myself. At first I used it as a spot treatment and had some success but what was really amazing is when I starting using it on my whole face twice daily. I'm happy to say that my face has completely cleared up. I still have a redish skin tone but I don't get breakouts anymore. I apply after my shower in the morning and after I wash my face before bed. I apply liberally to my cheeks, nose, and forehead. Not so much that I go through a container too fast. The one I have has lasted months. I highly recommend this product.

I've purchased this product before from the BareMinerals table at Ulta, until this stopped selling it in store. It worked very well when I last purchased it. For some reason this time, this product didn't stick to my face, and just fell off no matter how many times, or different ways I tried to apply it (+moisturizer, primer, etc.) I went through this product within 1-2 weeks.I don't mind the smell, and the color seems to be universal. I like how it used to apply when I purchased it before. I'm just wondering if I got a bad batch? Which is quite upsetting due to the fact I wasted that money.
