Sachs SG404018 Lift Support

Perfect replacement for 2004 BMW M3 rear trunk door.

These were about 7 dollars cheaper than the local auto parts place. The work great to hold up the hood of my grand Cherokee. By far the easiest to instal as you don't have to remove torx bolts and instal round head bolts. Just pry up the metal clips on the old and new ones and then sway them out for the new ones and then push the metal clips back down. Did it in about 30 mins while talking to my friends. one of these alon was enough to hold up the hood.

Hood struts worked great.

A little cheaper than the OEM part and fits perfect.Update: Lasted about 8 months in engine compartment. Very hot. Trunk ones are still doing ok.

Got these as replacements for the factory ones that gave out. Great price & quality here on Amazon. Installation was a snap.

Worked for about 4 years then got weak and failed. Supposed to have a lifetime warranty, however Amazon told me that to obtain warranty, I had to contact Sachs directly by calling their international phone number. When I have contacted manufacturers before, they have told me that I had to go thru seller. Seller (Amazon) is telling me to go thru manufacturer. Catch 22 and no one to help me. What good is a lifetime warranty when no one stands behind it? Signed Frustrated ASE Master Tech.

The product was great, dumb ole me ordered the wrong part, but Amazon made the return quick, easy and painless! However, I can say the part was well made and I replaced them with the same brand and they are excellent! My old tailgate works as good as new if not better!

Quedaron perfecto en mi wj, cuando libero el seguro del cofre sube casi solo, le quite una estrella porque el empaque estaba trozado cuando llegó, cómo si lo hubieran abierto para ver qué es lo que tenía el paquete. Pero funcionan bien
