This resource is exceptional, starting with the recommendations for a study plan to the breakdown of the subject matter. Each chapter flowed with ease of comprehension without leaving me feeling overwhelmed. I also appreciated the embedded review videos in the chapters. Some details, such as the "digit repetition test," were new to me, but I valued the details associated with the subject matter for better understanding. I didn't give it a "5" per se because I anticipate using another resource to reinforce my studies. Uncertain at this point if it would be necessary, but it will not hurt—worth the purchase.

I am currently using it to study during the semester - as well as preparing for my Exam, after graduation. I find this book to offer useful information that is enhancing my study skills, as well as information that is the "most important"....more of a "things I need to know" and focus on versus endless hours of studying on broad studies. This exam guide was much more affordable than others offered, which is important when students have to purchase 10-15 books for the semester. I've compared this to the other expensive guides and it is just as informative and beneficial

Hi,I purchased Family Psychiatric & Mental health Nurse practitioner exam Secrets study guide. I would rate it a 4 The info was generally good and covered a lot with a reasonable amount of material. my only critique is that some information was repeated several times.

I've taken several PMHNP review courses recently and this study guide provided me with additional study essentials in the "Test Taking Tips", "General Strategies" and "Secret Keys" sections. The study guide provided both a succinct review of familiar material and also included new information I didn't have in my Post-Graduate program or other review courses! The exam review provided refreshing new questions with thorough explanations. It's definitely a valuable resource to include in preparation for the certification exam. The online resources were also relevant material for the advanced practice nurse to use. I highly recommend it!

I had been a nurse for 12 years when I decided to go back for my BSN. I then decided to get my MSN as Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Studying for the exam was overwhelming. I didn't know where to start! This book has the bare bones of what you need. It covers medications, therapies, legislation, and scope and practice. It gave me what I needed to pass the exam.

I believe that it had practice questions. I found that I online questions and the actual official PMHNP study book published by AANC was more helpful.

The study guide was concise, but not so much so that it did not cover the ground I needed. Unlike other test preparation tools that were overly heavy on primary care issues and policy. This should not be your only resource but could be the capstone to your studies that you need.

So far , I like this product. I can only suggest few questions after each chapter category , instead of the general questions at the end. It is very precise though . I love it.
