Good book
I liked this book. It opened my eyes for the first time to glycemic index and how important it is to watch what types of food we put in our bodies and even how foods I thought were similar were really different in their impact on my blood sugar. As far as the review about Australia, I can't comment on that other than there is good general knowledge in the book well outside of Australia, and I do believe that gluten free Australian products are regularly available here as well.

Not really that helpful
If you know *anything* about GI, this book doesn't really tell you anything new. I'm new to gluten-free eating, and my blood sugar is totally shot from the quality of the carbs I'm eating, so I was hoping for some good ideas for gluten free grains in particular that I could add to stabilize my blood sugar and not feel crazy. But saying I should eat gluten free whole grain toast isn't helpful. I need specifics. Recipes for the whole grain flatbread, bread, etc that is recommended in the meal plan. The recipes just aren't exciting. There are plenty of recipes for quinoa pilaf to be found free online. I'm returning this one.

got here fast and in perfect condition
book is ok - IF you really have gluten issues this is a very useful book because gluten free cooking/eating is HIGH glucose eating. and if you are NOT gluten intolerant going on a gluten free diet can Cause health problems not help them.. if you are diabetic BE AWARE the gluten free foods are often High glucose index foods.

Good Information
This book is an excellent resource for anyone who is diabetic and gluten free. There were many things that were explained in this book that I was never aware of. The recipes seem a little bit difficult (given the ingredients used), but the information is great!

Great insight to what the food industry is doing to us.
This book has a lot of great information, especially for those who are finding out they are diabetic, or have a blood sugar problem. It's amazing to me just how much the food industry is poisoning us, and how we can fight back. Thanks to this book, I have changed my diet for the better, and have started loosing the unwanted fat on my body.

only good if you live in Australia
I was totally disappointed in this book. There are so many gluten free foods available in the U.S. now and none of them were listed. Even some of the most basic options were missing. If she wants to sell her book outside of Australia she needs to research the many companies that specialize in gluten free foods in other countries. The general information which is ok is easily available elsewhere, I wanted a good list of the glycemic values of gluten free foods. This got returned.

A useful addition
I found this book more useful than the other reviewer, trying to handle both erratic blood sugar levels and the negative effects of gluten on my health has been difficult in the extreme. I do have cookbooks but this book really helped me make sense of all the different bits of information I needed to take control of my own nutrition.
