I had a 3 amp power supply for years, but recently I realized there was something wrong with the cameras. They were all showing snowy, terrible views on the monitor. I though about it for a while then took a single 12vdc power supply and pluggged in each camera one by one and decided the 3 amp power supply must be diminishing. So I decided to upgrade to the next amperage range power supply to continue the recording. I have currently only 5 cameras operating on a single power supply and thought this upgrade may do the trick, and it did. I had not seen near as good of clarity as from the beginning at installation. I have only had the power supply for about a week but so far so good! Improvement of images by cameras was an unexpected plus.

The power supply caused a rolling picture in all of the cameras. I initially hooked up cameras to all 8 ports, checked the monitor and noticed a terrible rolling picture. I guessed that having all 8 may have overloaded it, so I tried unplugging the cameras one at time to see if the rolling picture disappeared. The rolling picture occurred even when only one camera was plugged in. I went back to using the crappy AC/DC adapters that came with the cameras and just found a bigger power strip. This unit is NOT compatible with Lorex 4K cameras! Although the specs match up, it did not work at all, was completely unusable for my application.

Had to replace my Lorex power supply. Powered 8 cameras right up. I like that the transformer is not in the plug, which makes it easier to plug the power supply into my sirge protector.

Had it for less than 3 months, work well, then stopped. I was plugged into a 1st class power UPS. The power light is out and nothing is working. I will contact the company to see if it can be replaced.

Worked like a charm, despite security cam company telling me my old system was dead & to purchase a new one. Plugged this in, it was like a brand new system! Just make sure you get the right amperage & voltage for your particular system.

Perfect replacement for my Lorex system

This replaced a Samsung power supply from Samsung that failed and took out the head unit.

Had for a year or so still works great

it works fine on a couple cameras but not enough power to operate 8... or even 4
