I didn't check the thickness online. It's thinner than the previously purchased Carefree topper. It was a few inches longer than stated but was easy to cut and restitch with bonded thread.

Fit my slideout like a glove! My original one shredded after 12 years of sun and rain. Be sure to measure the exact width of the fabric, not the metal roller.

Used as an OEM replacement for a CAREFREE of COLORADO RV side room topper.Only problem, was that I ordered 161" and received 160 1/4", instead.Not a lot of difference, I know and decided to install it anyway.Thing is, I really wanted 162", which wasn't available and didn't want to chance 163".Now since there's a difference of $38.05 between 161 and 163" of fabric, that comes out to $19.02 per inch, I should be compensated for the 3/4 inch, that I did not receive.Can't seem to find a place for contacting the seller or Amazon anymore, like before, so will have to make my concerns known here.One other thing and with Amazon's now.... sign for delivery policy...., that was put upon me without my knowledge, I spent an hour on the phone, talking with a few different people, one of which sounded like she was overseas somewhere, making things even more difficult, so had to do the calls all over again. Anyway, no one was supposed to be here to receive shipment, so finally was able to opt out of signing for it, after agreeing to all sorts of disclaimers. Turned out, appointments got canceled, so I was here, for the delivery, but the driver, was not aware of these changes, so he took pics and then had me sign in three places anyway.I do believe all this, was on his shipping instructions, however.No complaints on the material or workmanship and as long as it lasts.It was an easy install also, but only because of using my own method and for not using the instructions provided.That's another story and must say, you won't get much help with specific questions, from CAREFREE of COLORADO.

Mine came in at exactly 145". I needed the 144" that was advertised. I moved out the mounting brackets1/2" on each end, but my roller is still 144" and it overhangs a bit. Not sure if this affect long term durability or not. I would prefer this to one that you cut to size and do not have the "folded" ends.

Our existing slide topper was a Carefree, so the replacement fit perfectly. I was able to install on my own in just an hour and a half.

It took 2 of us to install. The packaging was incredible, nothing was going to damage the awning in transport, protected like Fort Knox!! We will be buying 3 more to replace what we have. The fit was also perfect, I think the next one we will try a lubricant on the metal strip or whatever it's called to help make the awning slide in/on more smoothly.

used to replace rv slide awning was easy to install did it myself in approx 20 minutes quality is very good but best of all was 100s of dollars less then quoted by rv centre
