Works Great!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Overall I love the device. Shoots smoothly and all. See for your self in the videos. When using the app you have a few choices on how you want to control the gimbal to control your phone. My only complaint is you have to balance your gimbal to your phone. So no problem there, the problem is once you adjust it, it will not go back in the case. So on a day of shooting the case is basically worthless so we left it in the room. In our case we would shoot video in different locations and would have to shut down the equipment between shoots. So any time I pulled the gimbal out of the case, I had to always re-balance it. Of course a work around is to mark the gimbal with a marker.

great iPhone gimbal, great deal
This gimbal does its job. Compared to just holding my phone in my hands, it’s night and day. Used it with iPhone XS Max.I got this to help me get stable footage with my phone. I use it to vlog, and also to try and get some cinematic stuff here and there for my YouTube channel. It works very well with the ZY Play app, I have an android phone, the note 9 to be specific. The app isn't perfect, and it is a little tricky to figure out, but is super helpful. I really like that I can program it to do moving time lapses.

Solid and Fairly easy to use
To keep it brief, it's a great gimbal for a great price.Price: I settled on a gimbal on amazon that was $89. Just before I was ready to buy it, I decided to go into Best Buy in the hopes of being able to see a few to compare (I still like to put my hands and eyes on something before I buy if possible). I saw the Smooth-Q and the price ($10) cheaper and bought it. I went back online to amazon to compare the features to the one I targeted initially and found that the smooth-q compared quite well for $10 cheaper. The final bonus? I searched for the smooth-q on amazon and found out it was $20 cheaper than what I paid at Best Buy ($30 cheaper than the first one I targeted) and it originally retailed for $160. Of course I returned the one I bought from Best Buy and just got my order from Amazon last night.Quality/Easy of Use: The only challenge I had was with the app. It took several tries and several re-boots of my phone, before it would connect automatically and open the phone/video viewer app. The app is the only place for you to edit many of the settings and calibrate the gimbal. The connection to the gimbal worked almost immediately though. I've never used a gimbal before but there were several reviews of this model by more experienced users online. Turns out this is a very good entry to moderate level device. Here is why I only gave it 4 stars and not 5. The one from Best Buy was shrink wrapped and the box was in good condition. The parts in the box (the cables) were secured well with rubber bands and the case was wrapped neatly in a bag. Ultimately, this one seemed pretty clearly to be brand new and never opened. The one I got from Amazon was not plastic/shrink wrapped, there was no sticker holding the packaging closed which, while annoying at times, provides a confidence that the box hasn't been opened before...the box was clearly worn. The charging cable was folded and forced into it's position inside the box. The gimbal comes in it's carrying case and that case wasn't nearly as firm (new) as the one from Best Buy and the bag the case was in had clearly been opened before. The charging cable was missing the rubber band that held it together in it's storage place in the box as well. None of this was/is enough to send it back and it seems to be working fine. However, the un-boxing experience is important. When you buy something new (even if you're getting it at a better price) you still expect it to look and feel completely new and never used.

Great expectations....Fell flat
Gimbal is not very reliable. After several days of expected performance, the gimbal started randomly panning up for no reason while recording. Randomly praising the joystick down once would stop this pan, but most of the time it would simply start panning up again. Not a balance or software issue. Appears to be a hardware issue with device. Customer service was not very responsive.

Works with a 6.3" phone.
I have a Galaxy Note 8. A 6.3 inch screen. I noticed it said that it was good for phones up to 6", but it also said it would work for a Note 8. So I took a chance. It does work well, but I have to take my phone out of its case. It will work with phone in case but gets wonky. Move too fast & it drops the phone down. Phone out of case & it's good. Also, I should note that my case is a waterproof case with built-in screen protector. So a smaller slimmer case might be fine with such a big phone.

What I figured
Product works fine, the software is another story. If I wouldn't have bought it used I would be sending it back BECAUSE of the software and I give 3 stars because of the software. All I can tell y'all is buy 1 try it out, send it back and try another brand if your not satisfied. But they are great for a smooth video. Remote Control would have made this 1 the Bomb!

Great gimbal, shortrr battery life than anticipated
My biggest issue was the battery life. I don't use the gimbal's app because it doesn't have the same capabilities as my native camera app, but it needed to be recharged after using it twice.Other wise as long as you fully charge it, it should be good for a day. I don't think I'll ever use it as an external battery if the life is that short.
