I mean, it's just a pen, right? BUT...
I'm someone who is fussy about pens. I like a certain 'feel' as I write. I discovered gel ink pens a few years ago when our work started buying them. I liked the dark, crisp ink and the writing feel for the most part but felt that the 0.7 mm tip was just a bit too heavy, especially when trying to write small (eg limited space on a form, etc.). I also felt that the pen was a bit too 'slippery' on the paper. I like a little bit of friction / drag as I write (like a pencil). My search for a finer version of a gel ink pen began. I bought the 0.5 mm version of what we had at work and it was awful. Very scratchy. One has to keep the pen almost vertical to write properly or it starts to skip.I bought several other pens at stores (mostly cheap ones I admit). Most were not very good. One of the first ones I bought was quite nice, but then I could never find it again! Time and again, they were just very scratchy, tended to skip, some blotted a bit. I had pretty much given up.I decided to try these pens based on the reviews. It is nearly perfect! At least, for me. It writes nicely, doesn't blot, has just the right amount of friction for the feel that I like, works being held at an angle, etc. I was concerned about having to purchase a dozen (in case I didn't like them), but now, thankfully, no regrets. If you like a dark, crisp, slightly thinner ink line with a small amount of friction on the paper, then give these pens a try. I'm glad I did!

scratchy and cheap
These replaced my Arteza gel pens which I can't get on Amazon, and they are not even close to the quality. The plastic collar at the writing end is flimsy and easily cracks. The ball mechanism is not smooth.
