MindWareLogic Links: Level B

This makes a great activity for bell work in my science classroom. It gives students a chance to practice important skills like reading carefully for information, noting signal and transition words that are essential to the clues, and most importantly, logical reasoning. I bought colored poker chips and put them in baggies for them to quickly grab at the beginning of the class period. We check the clues and view the solution together using our smart board. The students love the hands on nature of manipulating the chips. I plan to finish Level B with them soon and move on to Level C 2nd semester.

The Logic Links box set is excellent. It's a great puzzle for kids from 1st grade to 5th - the one requirement is the ability to read the clues. I use it in my class and the kids really enjoy solving the puzzles.The book version is useless! It comes with paper chips that are not durable like the plastic ones that come with the box set. The paper chips are also much larger than the printed puzzles which means you must create your puzzle on the table versus laying the chips right on the clues themselves.Buy the box set, it's more expensive but it works and it's fun!

Great for getting your child to think. Good alternative to Legos or screen time. Only complaint is the paper chips. Would have been more durable had the chips been made of plastic.

I love Logic Links, and so do my students. This is actually the 3rd set I've purchased because I think this is so wonderful. I'm a teacher and use this as a challenge activity for fast finishers/morning work. It is a great tool to promote critical thinking/reasoning and following directions. I cut up the book and put the pages in sheet protectors and then put them in a binder. I also divided up the chips into 2 baggies so that multiple students could use this at the same time.

I use this book in my tutoring business. All the tutors rave about how much fun it is and how it builds cognitive skills such as focus, working memory, and using both sides of the brain simultaneously. I even find the tutors doing it themselves!

Okay, yes the box set had better chips...but this was a try out for the grandchildren and they loved it...on to the box set for Christmas!!

Good for brain exercise.... My son liked it.
