I ordered this statue to put it in the middle of my one meter square garden and I am glad I did. Despite I had read in the description it was 14 inches height, I still thought it would have been nicer a little bit bigger; however, it is beautifully made. This foo is pretty light because its main component is a mic of fiberglass and clay. I did not pick the Foo dogs pair, but just one with its left paw on a ball. Sometimes called lion dogs these Chinese Emperor creatures are synonym of protection. Traditionally represented since the Han dynasty, some of the most beautiful specimen can be seen in the Forbidden City and are from the Qing dynasty. The one I bough is the female, the Yin, and represents the circle of life. This one has its mouth open, not close. It is a beautiful and lightweight piece, but I just hope it will make it outdoor in Texas as it seems a little bit fragile. Maybe later on I will buy the male.

I really like this thing. I have it on an indoor stair well. Wouldn't leave it outside in the city though.

I love the foo dog statue. It's a perfect size. I love the details and the weight is perfect. My only problem is the rear left corner is broken off. There was a bag covering it before it was put in a box with paper and Styrofoam and then put in another box. I looked in the bag, where the pieces should have been and there was nothing-not even dust! I know this was damaged before it was packaged and shipped out. Not even the outside of the box was damaged, which it would have been if it happened during shipping. Ihapictures!

I was so pleased with this Foo Dog that I immediately purchased the Foo Dog with its paw on a cub which matches it, making a perfect set. I love the color which matches my house and the artistry of these Foo Dogs.

They came well quickly and well packaged. They are well made and durable. They look amazing on my front porch.

They are actually not bad for the price. It’s just the right size for the entrance to my yard. I expoxied them to some hollow block tile and painted them
