French's® Chili-O Seasoning Mix with Onion, 2.25oz, Pack of 6

I thought it didn't taste quite the same as it once did. The instructions used to add a cup of water, and it needs it. I add two cups of water, and it is still thick. I have used this product for years, but remember it having a better flavor then.

This has always been my go to for making chili and since the pandemic hit I have not been able to find it locally. So, I now order from Amazon.We tried other chili mixes when this was unavailable and are so happy to have it back.

This is the original chili seasoning I started using way back in the 70's. I added a few things to it, like green bell peppers and a little cumin and chili powder but not every time. Well, everywhere I went, everyone who had ever had my chili, insisted that I make a pot! And it was so easy. lol. When I couldn't find Chili-O anymore i experimented with different brands, but I still like this the best.

My family has always made chili with French's Chili-O. Lately it's not in the stores. So I paid the higher price and ordered online. However, I've just learned this: "French's products (chili-o and others) are being discontinued and moved into the Durkee brand. Durkee Chili Seasoning is the same recipe seasoning blend as French's Chili-O and will be the replacement product going forward." So I'll just buy the Durkee brand in the store going forward. : )

Have looked in many stores and can't find it. None of the other mixes are as good. Most are too spicy. Had ti get the with onion but was glad to get it. Very expensive

For some reason can't find this locally so glad to have it in the kitchen again so many uses.
