HiyaHiya Sock Needles Set, Bamboo 6" Double Pointed

This set is wonderful! For someone new to sock knitting, DPN’s were a challenge. And, it is irritating to spend so much time sewing up two needle socks after all that knitting. So far the seamless sock looks great and I am knitting as easily as I normally would. The fine tips are great for sock yarn. The join is very sheer and smooth between the needle and the cord. The bag is helpful to carry your sock in progress and guard against accidentally impaling yourself. The tips are described as sharp. They are not sharp like a needle but quite pointy. One would not cut their fingers working with them, but they are worth a little more caution—do not leave them laying on the sofa. It is great to have a few sizes of needle to choose from in this kit. Overall this was a good purchase.

Very good quality needles, excellent customer service, and extremely fast shipping!The joins between the needles and cables are smooth and don't snag at all. The needles are slick and sharp (very sharp!).I ordered early Saturday morning and my package arrived by Monday afternoon. I was amazed!The only problem was that the inside pocket of the bag that comes with the set had one of its corners sewed into the seam of the outside zipper. I contacted the seller and a replacement was on its way to me the next day.

The best sock needles ever. Hot yarn seller is honest and reliable. I’ve gotten burned by some private sellers on Amazon but Hot Yarns is the best. These needles are nice and pointy. Cords are flexible and soft.

I love these needles ! The connection is very smooth,the yarn transfers so easily. The cord is not stiff or to fiddly. The points are very sharp! The little case that holds them is so beautiful!

The needles are lovely. The case is red brocade and was very wrinkly. The button is also difficult to fasten. The needles are 5 stars, but I had to take one away for the case. It is cheap and not great quality.Update: I've been knitting socks on these for over a year now. The memory on these cables really makes knitting with them a bit of a pain. They kink up a lot and are hard to work with. I prefer the tips on these needles, and the cables on my Chiaogoo. If given the choice, however, I would go with the Chiaogoo due to the more flexible cable.

Perfect needle size for knitting socks. 9 in circs take a little getting used to, but once you get the hang of them, they are fun to use. Socks fly off the needles and the stitches are more uniform than with DPNS. If you are considering trying these, I think you will enjoy them. 1 tip that I would like to offer is this - don't tense up or grip them too tightly. You might experience hand and finger cramps. RELAX, RELAX, RELAX and just hold them the way you would normal size circs and you will be fine. After 10 rounds or so , you will be using them like a pro. And you will never go back to DPNS for socks, except for the toe decrease. I love them and use them all of the time for socks. HiyaHiya is an impressive value for a mid price needle. It never fails to give you an impressive tool for the money. I’ve used Hiya for 12 years and though it’s a mid priced needle it belongs at the top of the list for quality.
