I accidentally locked my car keys in the van a couple times when I've had so many things to carry out. Now I clip this to my briefcase or purse and it works great for me. It holds my keys for 2 vehicles & 5 household keys - Its length is perfect. My purse/briefcase/satchel is on the floor or seat beside me while I drive. I would have preferred a smaller unit but instead I just tuck it inside my purse/satchel/briefcase while it's still attached to the strap ring on my briefcase/satchel/purse. Can't leave my purse/satchel/briefcase behind anymore! I've had it several months.

Really great! I use it everyday ALL day for a couple months now and have had zero problems and works great every time! I love how it's longer than other products plus locks until I want it to retract. I also like the clip it has allows me to clip to my pant loops or backpack. It's also very sharp looking and durable! Very happy with my choice!

So, I've had several of these beauties.The first time I got it, I thought I had gone to key holder nirvana. This thing would hold my keys without drooping. It would lock in place after I played out a little line, so I didn't have to worry about my key popping out of the lock. The clip mechanism is also large enough to fit through belt loops and move freely so as to not bend.However, it's not a toy! I broke my first one a month after receiving it by using it as a yo-yo. Broke my second one by spinning my keys around and again, using it as a yo-yo, thus jamming the line.My third was the only time that I actually experienced any real issue with build quality. The plastic part that connects the string and the key ring actually broke when I was taking a key ring off from the one that is included. By this time, I was starting to realize that I shouldn't play yo-yo with it, and it lasted a little longer, until this one point.I am now on my fourth of this product. I have attended several seminars to retrain myself to not use objects as a yo-yo that aren't intended for that purpose. It's been 6 months and using it appropriately has provided longevity and great usefulness without hitting my wallet.I guess those little notes in packages are due to me using things the wrong way. Sorry all.

Bought it for my work keys, and use it everyday. It's expected for these things to eventually brake, mine broke due to force or getting caught on machinery and in my line of work it happens. Pretty reliable under normal working conditions. Gave my coworker 1 and I always have back up ready. Would recommend. Sturdier then most retractable Keychains

Bought this Nov 23, 2021 and received and started using it a few days thereafter. Used it very lightly, mostly to just clip my (few, light) keys to my bag while nestled in a pocket, so not stressing any mechanical parts at all, so I would be able to find them at the end of the day, as I had misplaced them and locked myself out a couple of times after a death in the family left me scatterbrained and not performing at my best.I didn't wear them around like a CO or anything. I occasionally extended and retracted the lanyard, but not to its entire length, and didn't put any stress on it at all beyond that required to pull it out.Worked great, no issues whatsoever (as expected, since my use was so light) until today, October 10, 2022, when the two halves of the case split, rendering the keychain unusable. So, I got 10 months out of it, mostly just carrying it around with me daily, not really *using it* so much.I was happy enough with it, no major gripes, and I'm not *outraged* at a 10 month lifespan, or anything - but would have liked it to last a bit longer, given the price point and my very light use. Will look elsewhere now that I am replacing it, in hopes of finding one with a bit more durability.

I love this item because it can be weird to have. How I look at it is this when you get used to having it on you it comes second nature instead of worry about not having your keys with you. It can be very awkward to walk around with your keys on your belt loop. least you didn’t forget about them in the car or drop them when you try to take your phone out your pants. I have two of them one for my car keys and the extra one for my spare keys for my car. I’ll give them 5 out 5 stars amazing and great value for your dollar plus it is made in the united state

So first off, this thing is massive!!! I purchased it for keys to be worn on my duty belt, and with limited space on my belt, this key holder takes up way too much room, and is very conspicuous. Secondly, it does retract easily. It catches all the time on its way back in. I have to keep pulling the chord back out a little at a time over and over because it won't smoothly return to closed. Not a good product at all. I can't think of an application where this would be useful. Thirdly though, about strength, the plastic piece that attaches to a belt loop or keeper is rather thin, and it wiggles; which makes me wonder how much abuse this product can take.
