So long as your horse will eat fines (fine particles), or if you feed a "sticky" feed, than this is a good deal. The horse I bought this for has improved so much that she is now back in training. It lasts me about 2 months, and that's giving her the maximum dose. I can probably put her on a maintenance dose now, but I think I'll wait till Spring.

I bought biotin powder for my chickens for molting times, first time trying it, going by other backyard chicken groupies online. I use biotin for my hair and nails so why not try animal grade for them, i have 1 Rhode Island Red hen that is having a hard time getting feathers to regrow, and I don't see mites or anything else on her. So here we go, i dampened their food with a spray bottle of water and sprinkled the powder over the food to dry, hopefully will work.

28 yrs.old horse with cracks in hooves. I have fed this to my horse for several months and it has really improved her hooves and her hair. She looks like she's only 5 yrs old. My horse has brittle hooves in the summer & soft hooves in the winter & spring. He’s been on this supplement part of spring & all summer. My farrier says his feet are in great condition. I really recommend biotin supplements for your horse if you have the same issue!
