MLJ’s sermons are incredibly helpful and engaging. I am so thankful they are available. It’s tragic that so few pastors preach like this anymore.

In this book Martyn Lloyd Jones studies the High Priestly Prayer by Jesus in John 17. One of the Doctors main points here, and in much of his preaching, is that 95% of the problems with the Church today is that Christians do not know what it is to be a Christian and how to live as a Christian. Christians don't know who they are in Christ and what it means to living our daily lives. There is no doubt he was, and still is, right. Dr Jones is much like the Apostle Paul. His preaching has been called "Logic On Fire" and I cannot think of a better description. This is an excellent book and I will be looking into it more deeply.

Don't let the 640 pages intimidate you - each chapter is basically the text of a series of sermons from the pulpit given by the author.I approached the reading as a year-long study of our Lord's prayer before he was arrested and taken on the night he was betrayed. I found each lesson highly impactful, reassuring, and easy to read and understand. Each chapter, like a lesson, built off of the previous one in only the way that Lloyd-Jones could provide. Highly recommended for anyone who not only wants assurance of their salvation, but for an in-depth look at each and every verse of our Lord's prayer.

Martyn Lloyd-Jones is heaven-sent. This book is a compilation of his forty-eight sermons on John Chapter 17 - "The High Priestly Prayer of Jesus Christ" - and is mighty in dealing with the assurance of salvation based on the words of Jesus Christ. Very easy to read because of division into individual sermons. This book will become your reference for the study of eternal security in Jesus Christ.

This has to be one of the best Martyn Lloyd Jones books available. It has helped me so very much in understanding how God chose His people in eternity, gave us to the Son who died for us and rose again, and the immense cost of our salvation, and how we are sanctified once saved. If you enjoy this book then you will also want to read "Experiencing the New Birth" also by Martyn Lloyd Jones. Martyn Lloyd Jones was a modern day prophet - understanding the times in the light of Scripture and a man who clearly meditated deeply on the Word of God. His books have done me more good than anything else spiritually, and I read them all on my knees.

The Assurance of Our Salvation by Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones is a book that should always be in print. In easy to understand language he gives the many reasons why Christians lack assurance and how to deal with it. I have never come across a Christian yet, who in some form or other does not lack assurance at some time or other. This book is one of the most spiritually rewarding, down to earth and practical books to read. Get it!

This is the second time I have bought this wonderful book this time as a present. I know from my recommendation other Christian friends have also bought it. It really is a must for any Christian and I learnt so much from this book as Martyn Lloyd Jones explains Jesus' prayer in a way that is so easy to understand. I feel truly grateful to be a Christian.

Like almost all of the books written by D Martyn Lloyd Jones this is excellent study in the gospel of John chapter 17. My only complaint is that it was not clear when I first thought of ordering that it is in fact a collection under one cover of 4 separate paperback books which I have already bought and read. These are: Saved in Eternity - Safe in the World - Sanctified through the Truth and Growing in the Spirit. Nevertheless, it is a very nicely produced hardback.

Martin Lloyd-Jones is always a fulfilling read for those seeking greater understanding of the scriptures.
