Months ago I got a pizza delivered, and he delivered more than the pizza. There were unwelcome hitchhikers on the warm pizza box. Several weeks later I felt an odd poking in my ear. When the eggs began to hatch and the nymphs traveled down my neck, I figured it out with the help of Google. I ordered all kinds of oils and creams which were effective at killing the mites on my skin surface, and some killed the nymphs under the surface of my skin. Neem Oil, Mineral Oil, Neem soap, Neem and Tea Tree soap and shampoo, all killed mites on my skin surface, and forced nymphs out of my skin by smothering them. Not enough to prevent new bites and egg deposits. Then I found a can of Dr. Bell Pomada De Campana. I could smell that it contained menthol and Google confirmed it. The ointment is very thick and was the best at this point in killing the mites and nymphs, and I began to make progress. I then looked up products with menthol and found Selsun Blue with Menthol. I shampooed with it and also applied it to bites on my skin. It's not over yet, but I am finally killing the eggs before they hatch, and the bites are closing up and healing. I also found Queen Helene Cocoa Butter creme very effective at forcing the nymphs to surface, better than plain cocoa butter. The Queen Helene and Dr. Bell are much less expensive then Neem Oil and work as well or better.
