There's good information, but this is a pedagogical mess
If you need to know this material, it's not a terrible source of information, but the authors do not know how to teach or write effectively, and it shows in the organization and prose of the textbook.

Mistakes, no CD, doesn't explain, specific & api gravity not the same
This book put API gravity and specific gravity side by side when they are in reality NOT side by side. Why put a picture of "equal value" and have that picture actually be a lie? Mistakes in all books, too old. Parker book is said to be better.
