Hayward AXV306 Cone Gear Bushing Replacement for Select Hayward Pool Cleaners

These items are not easy to install, but that is not the fault of the supplier. The Hayward Navigator pool sweeper is not generally considered a "do-it-yourself project. Nonetheless it is poaaible for a pool owner to fix, and the sweeper works as if its brand new.

Best thing about the Hayward is that when something goes wrong you can easily replace parts. Anybody can do it with just a screwdriver. But head’s up - when your robot isn't working properly don't just go buying random parts. Do some diagnostics. In my case the robot would go up and down the length of the pool but wouldn't turn around at the end. I gave the top clear connector on the robot a twist and it was locked up solid. Cheapest fix is probably just a new top gear kit (Hayward AXV079VP). I found the gear on an Amazon Warehouse deal for $17 so I decided to replace it. You may not need to and if you don’t you can save yourself $50 - $75. If you are replacing this gear you should also grab the bushing (Hayward AXV306 ) which is the item in this review. If the top gear does turn smoothly but the robot still only goes in straight lines then it's the gear box (Hayward AXV408P). If your robot isn’t moving forward then you should start with the turbine (Hayward AXV621DAT) and maybe the legs (Hayward AXV417WHP). For just general maintenance don't forget the flippers and pads - they need to be replaced every couple of years – (Hayward AXV414604WHP).

if you are rebuilding your navigator make sure to get ths ring, HIGHLY recomended, will help make your navigator turning system good and tight as a new unit again

Needed these parts to rebuild my Haward Navigator that wasn't working properly. Perfect replacement part. Now my navigator is working properly again.

The Cone gear bushing worked as designed but was expensive.

Part was a genuine Hayward product. It fit perfectly and seller delivered faster than estimated.
