I bought this for a very chewy cocker spaniel. He destroyed his last bed in a week. He has had a good bite at the corners but its holding well. Recommended

The bed is very cheaply made and is not chew proof plus when you send it back they charge you post! So not buy!

My dog has eaten two beds. She gets attracted by the cushion type beds, starts eating them along the zipper edge and then shreds the insides. This mat has no attractive floppy edges, and no visible zipper to pique her attention. She has left it alone for two whole weeks, and I am cautiously confident!I have ordered a second one so I can stack them, because I don’t think this 5cm mat is comfy enough for our 30kg German Shepherd, especially as the breed are prone to joint problems. The maker do a 10cm one, and I would recommend getting that one instead if you have a big dog.I don’t think this would be any match for her if she did decide to have a chew on it, but because it fits perfectly into the crate and doesn’t attract her attention, it is better than anything we have had so far.

I brought a crate tough chew bed within 3 hours one corner ripped. Within 6 hours 3 corners chewed and I only have 1 year old jack Russell was not impressed with this product. Not so hard chew

A tad thin and it was delivered Tuesday and it has lasted a grand total of 3 days. That’s 2 days longer than most so it got a star for every day it’s lasted without any holes.

We have a German Wirehaired Pointer who is crate trained, however does struggle with chewing any beds and blankets that we have given him.We invested in this due to the chew proof claims and some reviews.He adored the bed and it fitted well in his crate, and he clearly found it comfortable. We left him alone for 30 minutes and when we returned he had already chewed the corners and exposed the filling though this was minimal.He was then left today for a couple of hours and when we came home he had fully torn into it and most of the filling had been taken out.It really isn't chew proof if your dog is large or a heavy chewer and it didn't even seem like it was much of a challenge. Unfortunately for us it has been a complete waste of nearly £50.
