Good Amp
I've used the heck out of my Samson Servo 200 Amp (as a PA amp.) Early in their production runs with this amp they had a problem with the relay in the protection circuit. However, they say that they've corrected this problem. The particular Servo 200 that I've used, I bought years ago, and I've installed a replacement relay (myself) in. Since the relay replacement on this older amp, I've had no problem. It's a reliable performer, and I use it all of the time. The newer ones don't have this problem, I'm told. I believe them. This is a good amp. Use this amp for small to medium sized venues. With 8 ohm speakers on each side it will put out about 65 Watts per side, making about 130 Watts total. If you use efficient speakers, you can get quite a bit of volume out of these.

Cheap dirty sound.
Utter junk. My right channel started going out intermittently right after warranty expired. Searched internet and is a very common problem with these units. Was OK when it worked. But here is the kicker: For $30 more I replaced with an ART SLA-1. Physically thinner and the difference in sound is PHENOMENAL. Get the SLA-1. It sounds incredible compared to the Servo.

Nice Amp With Plenty of Power For Nearfield Studio Monitors
I purchased this amp from Amazon to power a pair of Alesis Monitor One MKII passive monitors for my home studio. The Monitor One's require a 4 ohm load, and the Samson Servo 200 delivers plenty of power and punch with full, rich tone and clarity. In fact, I have to watch the volume, these Alesis monitors can get very loud going through the Samson unit and I don't want to damage my hearing. The Servo build quality seems very good and the sound from the amp is great. The only drawback might be the cooling fan. It can sometimes be heard when listening to soft passages at very low levels. I record using headphones, so there's no chance of fan noise being picked up by my microphones. Really, it's no big deal. If you use this amp live to power a P.A. you'll have absolutely no fan noise issues. The Servo 200 was on my short list of power amps to buy, along with the Servo 120 and similar amps from Alesis and Behringer. All would have worked nicely to drive my passive monitors. Since I was able to get a great deal on the Servo 200, that made it the absolute best choice for me. I am quite satisfied and very happy! The Servo 200 has a 3 year warranty.

Product features may not reflect product specs from manufacturer.
This amp should be used for live or noisy venues, not for small studio use, unless the amp can be housed in a separate room. the mechanical and wind noise generated by the single cooling fan (description says TWO fans and cooling tunnels) is distracting. Fan noise notwithstanding, the audio chain seems quiet, clean on/off isolation (no thump on power-up). Also advertised were 5-way binding posts for output. The Servo 200 I received had simple 2-way binding posts—no banana plug access, no hole in the post, just simple wire wrap or spade lug screw-down. Makes one wonder what else doesn't match specifications. Considering all above, good product for the price I paid, but best for PA use.

Awesome Amplifier
I purchased the Samson Servo 200 about 1 year ago. This has been one of the best amplifiers I have ever owned. I have been using it to power the monitors of the P.A system. It has extremely quiet operation as there is no loud speaker "thump" when you turn it on. If your looking for a durable, inexpensive amp. then look no further. 200 watts in stereo or 300 watts bridged for $200 . . . you can't lose!!! Some folks may say that since it has a fan it will be noisy, the fan on this amp is extremely quiet, besides I like the fact that the circuitry is protected from overheating, I have NEVER heard the fan while it is operating nor has anyone else ever mentioned it and this amp is used in a church!! The only time you can hear the fan is if the room is completely quiet and you lean down behind the amp and purposely listen for it, it is actually quieter than my home stereo receiver!! If you need a little more power (as I did) or if you are looking at this to power something else, in my opinion you will be satisfied. I think the only way you could get an amp with the same specs at a lower price and this nice would be if you purchased a used amp. At $199 for a new power amp. I say go for it! Hey it's a Samson, I have always had good service from a Samson product and the Samson Servo 200 is a better amp. than some out there that cost $499! Honestly, you can trust this amp.

Brilliant
I couldn't be happier with this Amplifier. I bought them alongside a pair of Alesis Monitor One MKII and it really allows them to reach their full potential. A decent size which may take up a little room and the fan which keeps it cool may cause some background noise if recording, but it is well worth it.The 10-colour LED meter has fabulous colouration and very responsive. The two channel amplitude controls provide great control over the master output and feel very robust, just like the entire amp itself. The diverse inputs gives you more control of your inputs and outputs.I would highly recommend this to anyone who wanted to start setting up their own studio and if you have some money to throw around, a MIDI/Audio Interface connected through the unbalanced inputs would be highly beneficial and provide even more control. A Focusrite Scarlett 2I2 or 2I4 would be perfect to give that control, as you would only have to change the stereo output from that one place as opposed to manipulated each channel.Packaging and postage was just as good as the amp itself, arrived two days early in perfect condition.

Packed in after 4 months
Bought this to replace my old Samson servo-170 studio amplifier that had started to let me down and as i had it for quite a while decided to get a new one. The Samson 170 had been a great studio amplifier so stuck with Samson. After only 4 months of studio use as i was doing a final mix to a track i started to smell electrical burning and at the same time the sound out of the left monitor became very weak and distorted. I rerouted the outputs from the studio to another amplifier to check that it was the amplifier and it was fine after rerouting through another amplifier. Fearing a fire developing i completely disconnected Samson 200 from the studio and put it back in its box. What happens now? is the thing under warrenty Amazon says its gone past the 30 day return day and i dont see anywhere any way of finding out what to do. I thought electrical goods were under 12 months warrenty? Help

but this is definitely a good quality item
I use it to drive two tactile transducers and it works well. I appreciate the led displays and all the protections implemented in this power amp. Ita not the cheapest, but this is definitely a good quality item. However, i looked inside with a flashlight through the vents and i noticed that there was only one fan, on the right side, rather than 2 fans as i expected.
