Light weight, powerful, good battery life
I bought this drill to replace a 5 year old Nextec drill that went up in smoke one day, literally, smoke and sparks. I may have over-worked it a few times, so I don't really fault the original drill. I find these Nextec tools great for light-duty projects. They are easy to use overhead, battery life is good, and they have enough torque for 80% of the projects I work on. I like having 2 drills so I can use different attachments without changing bits (example: drill/counter sink on one, phillips head bit in the other). My only complaint is that the forward-reverse switch is very close to the trigger and is too easy to move. I frequently find the switch gets reversed by accident, or stuck in a "neutral" position where nothing happens when I pull the trigger.

Great little drill. Just like the one I replaced, which had a jammed chuck. Perfect for small DIY projects.

We Tested This Beast and found it Rugged
This is a very rugged drill. I bought the drill and impact driver combo a year before this one to be used at a carpentry facility in West Africa. The drill lasted 6 months before the brushes wore out with an estimated use of 15 hrs a week. The impact driver brushes wore out in 8 months also with around 15 hrs a week use. The gears, clutch, and switch never had a problem. The drill and impact driver were HEAVILY used and still held up well. For home use they should last a lifetime. The batteries are still going strong and the charger worked fine with a step-down transformer. We made a point of never leaving a battery on the charger once it was full. We will be switching to the Milwaukee M12 Fuel brushless tool system with hopes that it will perform even better. We'll see.

POWERFUL FOR A SMALL DRILL
IT IS SURPRISING HOW POWERFUL THIS LITTLE DRILL IS. WITH LITHIUM-ION BATTERY THAT TAKES VERY LTTLE TIME TO CHARGE IT. EASE OF HANDLING BECAUSE OF ITS LIGHT WEIGHT. BATTERY LASTS FOR A LONG TIME EVEN IF NOT IN USE.

Looks and operates like a new item.
MORE than impressed with the operation and appearance of the drill. The chuck on my old one died and I was going to just use the chuck on the replacement drill. The replacement looks new and operates just as good. Very much pleased with my purchase.
