In order to set up the camera, one must register with an email. Personally, I do not see any reason why customers are forced to register if the cloud service is not being used. Usually, it is about selling our data. To register a confirmation code must be received in the email. I waited some time for it to arrive but ultimately after a few minutes it did.The setup process went smoothly except for a message complaining about my wifi password being too long (12 characters) and asking me to change it. Despite the message, I did not have to change it. Twelve characters are basic for today's security purpose. Also, when registering, the password is only allowed to be 20 characters long. I suppose it is more than enough for an average user.The picture quality is excellent. The same applies to the night mode. With the night mode, there is a red light on and it cannot be turned off. Hence, there is no option for discreet recording. The SD card settings I could not find but it works well after being inserted.All in all, it seems like a great little camera. I will review it again if there is any change in performance.4 months later UPDATE: The camera works very well. I like the fact that when it is disconnected it returns to work with no further need to do anything. It would be convenient if the camera had some type of fitting when installed on the ceiling upsidedown. SD Recording has been perfect, unlike other cameras I had in the past. I believe it is fair to upgrade my rating to 5 stars.

The size of the camera and the ability to easily relocate are the added bonus to this very clear and easy to use product.The image is clear and the message alert when movement sensed arrives very quickly.

I have a number of Time2 indoor cameras at home. They are excellent quality and very affordable. They are easy to set up when you have downloaded the easy-to-use Clan app to your phone. I needed to speak to customer service once when one camera didn't work. They were responsive and very helpful (an actual person spoke to me!) and replaced the camera without demur.

Bought this for the occasional observation, between carer visits, of my elderly mother, who has dementia. Small and discreet, with wide angle which ‘sees’ about 70% of the room, so I can more or less check that my mum is ok.The cable is ridiculously short, so it is very difficult to place the camera in the optimum position without the use of an extension lead. The problem then, is that the weight of the extension lead can interfere with the positioning of the very light camera.The picture quality, in both daylight and darkness, is pretty good. Haven’t tried the two way speaker yet.

Great picture quality day & night.Poor audio when talking through the camera - cannot be heard.

Purchased a Sophia 2 camera in the hope that it would enable my elderly mother to stay independent in her own home. It was so good that after two days use I bought two more to add to coverage of rooms in her house. As a family we can now monitor our mother from our own homes for safety and well-being by my sharing access through the Clan App with my two sisters. Picture quality is good and the two way audio is satisfactory, although sometimes there’s a little feedback, with which we can cope - could be my installation? Set up on all cameras is easy.I can recommend this product.

Bought to put in elderly persons house after they last had a fall and were lying on floor for 6 hours before being found. (Fall alarm on wrist hadn’t activated)Living 100 miles away now gives me more peace of mind to be able to check regularly on the app on my phone. Picture quality excellent.The range/span is very good.Night mode is also very clear.

Really easy to set up and use, great value. I use this to watch my elderly dog overnight and when we're out. It's linked to 2 phones so me and my partner can keep an eye on it. Great options to add more for different rooms. You can watch in real time or record and playback (I use playback to see if she's had a bad night). 5 stars given because it's so good and so reasonably priced - one comment would be that the lead could do with being longer - 5metres would be good - because it has to be situated next to a plug socket (or use a bulky extension cable).
